holidays people... go on hols until preseason tour... watch the euros... don't stress out on something you have ZERO impact on.
I've been searching google all afternoon trying to find out who our new toliet cleaner is! Can't they bring the Euros forward or something.
**** me,change the goal posts why don't you. We were talking about this mythical long-term strategy you mentioned ffs. Get back to explaining that. Martinez and no new players won't do **** all on the pitch.
You don't appear to know too much about strategy. At it's basis it has 4 elements - Where Are We Now (analysis), Where do We Want To Be (aims and objectives), How are we going to get there (strategy) and finally How Will We Know When We Have Arrived (control and review). It is a continuous long term process you cannot properly review it on 1 year/season's performance but it has to be flexible enough to be able to put right those things that appear not to be working as well as you wish. From a footballing view we can debate the merits or otherwise of sacking Comoli and Kenny but from a corporate viewpoint they both had strikes against them. The new appointments, including the ones today, will mean that the management team at LFC are all FSG appointees. From a corporate view that is very good news. From their outline cv's it would appear that they are well grounded for the positions that they have been appointed to and will bring some much needed professionalism. We have very poor relationships with the FA and the media. If we are to develop within the contengencies of FFP we need to increase our commercial income. bring on the changes - we need them!
I guess it was silly of me to assume you could envision another 3-4 years of actually building it.....or is 5 years still not long-term enough for you? Oh and remember,20 months ago they were saying the exact same things about a long term plan.....they keep restarting it though don't they. It,s their long-term that is failing mate.
They dont keep restarting, they are just mixing it up this season. Maybe they just need to get all that out the way before the stadium. Ok, if it gets to two years, or two and a half years with no stadium, flags can be raised. TBH I think they want to redevelop Anfield and are trying to sweet talk the council and community.
I think they are working in a way that they know and that as worked for them in the past. They are successful business men so it makes sense to do things in the way that made you rich in the first place
Personally, I think it is more important to get things right. Whether that takes a year or ten, I don't care, just get it right. redux is possibly the most impatient person I have come across when it comes to the owners, and that is saying something when your talking on a football forum!!!
yup... i eman lets be a little bit fair here and admit for once that the FSG guys took us on, saved us... then relaunched thier own company globally ie FSG not nesv... then they learned form thier mistakes.. ie knew nothing baout the sport to be qualified to hire and fire... realsie comolli is not their guy and then engage "someone" to advise them as to who best to taken on said roles. I hardly think its fair to neither acknowledge they've a right to do what they like, they are human so could actually err despite trying their best to please US.... they'll be judged o nthier actions but if you cna't see how long it took citeh on 500mil to get to the CL... well like i said take a holiday, watch the euros then see what preseason is like before shouting the odds now.
