In a period where we have been living off rumours, it's nice to finally see some official confirmation!

Could do with a merge of threads as there is two on this subject. Good to see things are slowly falling into place, so is it looking most likely that martinez will get the job or is it just an interview?
There's a thread for this Starting to come out with news, must be a good sign that they are not dallying around.
Umm, didn't mean for it to be that big, sorry about that. Like LG said, good they are making moves, but we are wanting the main ones really.
I am not sure about either of these appointments. It would appear they still think the yank approach to things will work at one of England's most traditional football clubs. I can't help but feel they just don't get Liverpool FC.
my thoughts. 1. jen sounds like a typical American appointment of high quality and track record in his area... it sounds to me like a slick hard sell is about to come our way. i expect the website updates etc to feed into this. 2. Mr hogan... now this is very significant in my view. It would seem that Mr henry has put his best man into the club and this does seem to give an indiaction of how much he sees in terms of potential. I think this is a big appointment. I would say though that i do not see any reason why appointing these two could not have happened mid season or at least to prevent the image of vacuum or blackburn style chaos. that's just my view as they would seem to be long lead time hires. hopefully their DoF trio will impress too.
I thought it was great, post of the day. I agree with moreinjuredthanowen on the Hogan appointment, he is one of Henrys top men.
I think they know what they are doing. I'm looking forward to it. I can see the DoF related roles being announced over te next 5 days. Then the manager.
I think they know what they are doing from a yank point of view in yank sports. Last time I looked we were neither of those things. Just out of interest why is at that you 'think they know what they're doing' ? In baseball they have been successful at Boston but failed miserably in Florida. So one success and one failure doesn't mean they'll be successful with us does it?
For starters they have taken some good time to build there strategy. They have spoken to LFC legends, like Dalglish before he was manager, spoken to Liverpool residence and have done there research. Ultimately, business is business, and they have and are continuing to increase our revenue stream, which will make us a lot stronger in the transfer window. Especially with all the new rules coming in. They have also built a long term plan which could stay strong for years. I think, after every thing they have done for us and our club, they deserve our trust and support.
Didn't this wonderful strategy include employing Bartlett,Comolli and Kenny who they have already binned? Where is the stadium? Oh wait, they are still working out what to do,new or refurb, and that has taken 20months and they still didn't decide. Good strategy indeed. Can't wait for the first baseball game at Anfield
I think every body is being far to picky when it is not needed. In my opinion peoples issues are not even justified. They cant just go boom with some rushed together stadium plan and bankrupt themselves. Sure they may have made mistakes with Kenny and Camolli, but they have realised that and are acting now to fix that. They have learnt fro mistakes and now stand in better knowledge of running our club. I personally think it looks like they are working incredibly hard.
