I'm pretty happy with this one. If his knees hold and he keeps his temper in check he'll cause carnage.

I missed his cameo last time round so even at 32 I would be excited to see him play for us. We need a physical presence up front and nobody in the squad can offer us that. His link play is fantastic, he gets goals but not a huge amount but him and Chops or Scotland for a front line sounds groovy!

Wickham won't be coming back then....

Well he's only 32 and still looks useful in the Prem so he would certainly do a job in the Championship for another couple of years. As someone to help us get back up short term I think he'd be useful... but to me, if i may use this analogy, it's still a sign of a lazy manager picking up players off the shelf as he strolls around a supermarket rather than a man with a plan going out to farms and suppliers to source all the ingredients on his shopping list.

That couldn't be more apparent Hampy. The lower league or European jems are obviously not for us.

Our manager, coaches, scouts and CEO I have very little faith in.

Our catering and groundsman however are tip top! <laugh>

Pretty much agree with this, however Jewell has admitted that too many ageing ex-Prem players was a mistake last year, so hopefully this will be a one-off. At least the other players we are being linked with - Ward, Judge, Davies etc - are more in the mould of the younger/lower league template that we all want to see. I'd have no probs if PJ was looking to mix it up with one or two experienced heads signing for free alongisde 4 or 5 younger, hungrier players, so fingers crossed that's the plan.

As for Fuller himself - if he can keep his temper in check and stay injury-free, then he can still be a pretty useful option in this league.

may agree on Europe but Im pretty sure (and the first manager in many seasons) Jewell went lower league for both Cresswell & Drury. Not saying we couldnt do better but its not that we've avoided it either.

    Great player! Sign him up!

So long as he is the only over 30s outfield player we sign this summer.

yes please, would be a great signing.

" so long as he's the only over 30s player " - I don't really agree with this. I agree not signing washed up players, such as Bowyer/Kennedy/Ellington, however the right players for example Jason Roberts are inspired. Centre backs for instance are often better older.
