As to calling Gandy a ****, I will happily move into that bracket as well, after all it's better than being a Ipswich Town supporter.

I'm sure Gnady is more than capable of fighting his own battles, but as you, in your infinite wisdom, have chosen to be abusive to a poster, I will offer you this chance to publicly apologise, and withdraw your statement. Failure to do so will result in you being banned from our board.

    Your choice

I didn't hear the interview but I guess any journalist was going to ask that question. I understand PL getting teasy because he's probably been told to keep schtum (it is in the dictionary).
We are now in one of the top three leagues in the world and doing jolly well on it so we are under the microscope totally during the season and even the closed season. I know PL would rather get on with his real job but it does go with the territory now I'm afraid.

i was talking about when the chelsea job came up. i'm all for him turning down the approach by liverpool but he came out and said it was too early to take the chelsea job if they offered it to him - as i recall the press in the room were all a bit miffed as nobody had even asked his thoughts on it - he just came straight out with it! that to me is arrogant thinking that chelsea would be in for him. as it happens, i couldn't care less about rodgers as i don't particularly believe the hype around him but i did find that incident a bit weird

"Let go" Exile, I don't think he ever had hold of anything in the first place!

Abit more of lazy journelism is in todays daily fail. Look on newsnow for it. It says about the whole holt being offered 20k a week and at the bottom of the article it says that lamberts future is in doubt because he will be given the same amount of money as last summer, and he feels that wont be enough to strengthen the squad <doh>

I think the board should be generous and give him an extra 10mil to spend...

Gandy, I sincerely apologise for calling you a **** instead of extolling your virtues in upholding our common prose

Back on topic, I just watched the Lambert interview again. The reporter asking the question really is thick! After the first question Lambert said 'if you're going to keep asking me questions like this...' the reporter acknowledged this and then followed up with the question about his future! <doh>

Does he really think its a good idea to ask that question? At least he knows never to mess with Lambert again!

Someone shoot the reporter, it's natural selection!

Seems to me unlikely that he just came up with that out of the blue. Remember that he was Chelsea's youth team, and then reserve team, coach under Mourinho before taking the Watford job. Indeed, if I remember rightly, there WAS media talk about that at the time when AVB was shown the door. I agree it would be "weird" if it was indeed completely unprompted, but my take would be that something prompted it! <ok>

Evidently, Hawksbee & Jacobs on talkSPORT haved picked up on this interview and were supposed to be speaking to that knobhead Jarrold on their show. I'm back at work now so can't listen, they said Lambert had given him the full 'Dalglish' treatment <laugh> Love it <ok>
