Don't know what he's on at Chelsea but he won't be short of a crust of bread. No loyalty whatever these days.

 

Think he's on 180k a week, he'll be getting more in China. Yet last month on Graham Norton he said he loved Chelsea and dreaded the day he left them.

 

Surprising what £300k a week will do to change your mind.

Or he might simply want to end his top flight career on a high? He's won everything there is to win at Chelsea, he's 34 and not going to get any better, so why not go try something else? Henrys done it, Beckhams done it, why can't Drogba? Pretty sure moneys not much of a factor after 8 years at Chelsea.

When he was warmng up at the Chelsea game and running up and down the touchline (I was sitting by the corner flag), I mimicked him diving and he just laughed.

He's 34 years old now, and not far from retirement. He's scored loads of great goals, put his name in the history books, worked hard and did it at the highest level for such a long time. He shouldn't get called a greedy bastard just because a club will offer him a ridiculously high wage to play the last years of his football before his retirement.

Players like Chris Samba should be called greedy bastard.

At 26 years old he gave up all ambition, and showed no care for his name being known, and pushing himself as a professional and went to Ahnzi for high wages.

 

One of the reasons he's looking for a big pay cheque is to support his charity. I think if we lost the Champions League he would have stayed to have one last shot at it the season after next, but as he won it he's decided to call it a day.

 

He's 34 and has won everything there is to win in his EIGHT years with Chelsea. He wants a 2-year-deal, they won't give him one. What the hell are you guys talking about?

Chelsea were the ones who rewarded his goals with a maximum of 12 more months! Fair play to the lad, what would you do in his position, play on at another club and risk scoring against the club you love or **** off somewhere that will pay you £££££ to basically play exhibition football!?!?

 

Did you know that Didier Drogba gives all his sponsorship money naming rights money away to build villages, schools and hospitals back in Africa? Doesn't take 1 penny also I heard he is only on £120k at Chelsea where 50% is paid in taxes. He has been awesome for the Premier League I think he is doing the right thing
