Reina will cost 10+ ml, and Wenger will NEVER spend this amount on a keeper when he already has a decent one. Given, Green and how many more would NEVER come to Arsenal as a 2nd choice keeper. This is all just dreams and wishful thinking. We might as well say Buffon and Neuer.
Not long ago Given left ManCity to play football. Why do you think that now he will join Arsenal to sit on the bench on a much smaller salary with no prospect of any trophy?
How do you know they wouldn't? Have you asked them? Given and Green would love to get a crack at playing in the odd CL game, not to mention playing in big FA Cup games.
The question was, name some better second choice keepers in the league at this moment. You've named some first choice keepers, which is great, but it's not what the question was. Have another go? And Given, at his age, would want first-team football. He's also a great shot stopper, but not the big, commanding GK Arsenal need. Chesney comes and claims crosses, he's big, he's imposing. Given would fail hugely at Arsenal and is exactly not the kind of keeper the team needs.
A 2nd choice keeper never plays "an odd CL game", unless it is so odd it is meaningless. Or if of course the No 1 is injured. Is this what Given is dreaming about? As for FA Cup games they have much better chance playing there staying where they are.
