Nobody thought about his wages? He's on around £150k per week, can't see you matching it.

To be fair I think most of us would rather keep Van Persie.

    but Torres has great potential.

Don't think you can call it potential, he's already proved what a great striker he is with both Liverpool & Spain.

Only in the IF RVP leaves scenario:

Rather than flogging him off to Man City, I would rather swap him with Torres. I think that Wenger could actually get the best out of him again and I did think us bidding for Torres when I read those quotes yesterday.

We should bid whatever we get for RVP, by the way I haven't heard a peep about him or anyone else for that matter. Not even mentioned on BBC gossip column.

Well Mourinho has tried to get RVP a few times when he was at Inter so maybe if Real come in a swap with Benzema or Higuaine would be a possibility.

I see the Spuds are trying to make Adebaywhore's deal permanent. What a fall from grace, courting Beyonce and ending up playing Europey football on thursdays <laugh>

    No we don't

    We play 4-2-3-1

Keep RVP and drop him back to his preferred 2nd striker role then Torres would have Gervinho/OXO, Walcott, RVP, Arteta, Wilshere, Song playing him in.

But is it just me or does Torres look uncomfortable and abit wierd when he runs and has the ball?!

  15. Torres 'had something to prove' at Chelsea and has been rubbish. Dont want him thanks, unless he would play back up.

Yes but Chelsea are more of a counter attacking team, spend all game sat back an then quickly try an leg it an get a goal and he only really had Mata as a genuine full attacking player helping him

At arsenal he'll constantly get the ball, constantly have players with him, passing moving passing moving

he played so good at Liverpool because he had Gerrard behind him constantly then the likes of kuyt etc joining from the wings

He'd have that and more at arsenal with RVP/Wilshere/Arteta behind him, and podolski/gervinho/oxo/walcott/etc along side him

also give us something to aim at from crosses, and i'm sure with walcott he'll quickly learn when to drop back to get theos pullback in the box!

  17. He's had one great season in 6 in the PL - that was his first.

    Goals per season - 24-14-18-9-1-6

His assist record is poor. 3-3-3-2-2-4

He has also been injury prone.

  19. <laugh>. he could join Diaby on the golf course. Diaby is actually earning more for playing golf than most golf pro's could ever dream of.

I don't want him here, I think he's lost it, also at 28 is he really gonna get much better?
