One things for sure, I would rather be McNally in the meeting, I reckon he will come down like a ton of bricks on Holt and Lee Payne if the agent has dictated this whole scene and caused the leak. Interesting to see what these comments are about.

Also can't believe some Norwich fans are planning on booing Holt, that'll make him want to stay won't it <doh>

If I was a steward and caught someone booing I would chuck them out and ban them. Not just for the fickleness they show to Holt but also not appreciating Drury's game.

I'd have a lot of respect for the bloke, and others in a similar situation, if he came out and said something along the lines of "I'm 31, I've not been made a millionaire in this short career and have a chance to move to a bigger club that will pay me 10-15k more a week, with possibly a bit of European football thrown in". Probably unrealistic but it would be refreshing.

I'm convinced the agent is behind all of this, it doesn't make sense for Grant to suddenly want to leave after just days from him talking of unfinished business at the club. This is one huge cock up by the agent I bet, hopefully Holt will sack him. It's clear that Holt does not want to leave.
Nasty comments lol, Holt eats those for breakfast

What comments over the past couple of months could possibly make him want to leave? Nothing I doubt, I imagine this is a façade created by the agent to cover up issues surrounding money. Whatever has happened, the agent and/or Holt have royally ****ed up and this has been a complete mess. A transfer request should be a last resprt and is certainly not smart if you want to stay and Mcnally is the CEO.

i'm more convinced than ever that its about the length of contract extension and monies involved - mcnally's tweets suggested it was likely to be a contract issue and this interview suggests its something which can be resolved with his input. only other possibility, going from that interview, is a falling out with lambert but you'd expect lambert to be involved in the meeting, unless thats something which would come later, but then why would the agent say 'money comes into it'? yep, this screams out as holt and his agent jumping the gun on contract talks. thats a risky game if so and won't have endeared himself to mcnally. i think the fact that mcnally seems so relaxed about it all makes me think its all under his control anyway. either way, i'm sure the club will do whats best for the club, not holt. if he doesn't like that then it'll be difficult for him to stay <ok>

If Holty stays, then surely the fans need to be made aware of what has brought this on, if allegedly we will understand if we knew?

It is all very, very bizarre indeed. What sort of comments could possibly cause this level of upset, and more importantly who from? It can't be the fans can it? To have such an impact I would have thought it would have had to come from within the club and if that is the case then someone needs their arse kicking good and proper.

"I like the abuse. I have broad shoulders as you can see, I can take it. It spurs me on" [Or words to that effect] - Grant Holt after Swansea away. What a pathetic reason, I wish Holt/Agent would just be honest. Good news is in the interview (As the interviewer pointed out) was the repeated use of the word 'resolve' so hopefully Holt is not on his way out anyway, even if I daresay he has damaged his popularity somewhat!

Could it be Lambert or someone in the back room staff has criticized Holt for his weight? We know Holt has worked very hard on his weight recently and I think we all agree that he looks to be in great shape at the moment, perhaps someone at the club doesn't agree? I could imagine that might upset him considering all the hard work he has put in recently. There were rumours the other day that Lambert may have even dropped him due to his diet earlier in the season.

But that was related to other fans etc. I imagine this has come from within the club somewhere

    Holt:
"Paul, does my bum look big in this"

    Lambert:
"Yes it does, now stop asking me about it and get training!"

    Holt:
"you bastard! That's the last straw. I'm leaving"
