It was the Kenwyne Jones story. I think he is just reprinting what is written in the tabloids...thus perpetuating the rumours himself. Best ignored.
Oh right, yes knew it was something like that for me to be so rude! I shall from here on adopt the policy of not believing anyone, anywhere, until the Cortese newsroom announces it. And Hassan - I'm sure you're at least a little clever, but you must do some more digging before repeating such nonsense, you are after all the BBC's representative on the South Coast, not a tabloid journo!
The other thing left unsaid here: how does Di Matteo's tactical approach in any way fit our personnel? He was happy to play attacking football with West Brom, but they didn't exactly excel with it in the Prem; with Chelsea, he succeeded by playing a grinding, defensive style that I cannot see succeeding with our current squad. If we invited teams on in the manner that Chelsea did in the CL, we'd see a lot of 3-0 and 4-0 losses.
lazy lazy journos. lets write crap instead of doing any research. Anyway, much more likely is Jim Magilton - I hear he's been sacked by Ipswich!
Now your going to tell me Tadanari Lee is out for 6 months I suppose? They can't be true, I won't believe it!
A recent poll has said that 78% of newspaper stories are made up to increase sales... No joke, and nothing we didn't know already. This NA story only proves it
I think this Adkins story is actually a lot more likely than many are comfortable admitting. It may not happen now, but there's no smoke without fire and I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that Cortese has at least sounded out Di Matteo.
