Congratulations on a great win, I said the moment you produced the fightback vs Napoli that you'd win it, my friends thought I was crazy, but there was something about RDM just so calm about it! What I don't get, however, is why are there so many fans of other clubs bitter/jealous about you winning the CL?! It doesn't matter if you stuck every man behind the ball and won 1-0 (Think Greece a few years ago!) or won 5-0 they would still moan and complain. Enjoy your moment in CL glory, you deserved it and all the best for next season (except vs Newcastle ) Although my one opinion is that RDM should not get the job, he is a good manager yes, but there is something about caretaker managers getting the job, it rarely works out (it has at Reading, Newcastle with Hughton for a while) but think Sbragia for Sunderland, Dalglish for Liverpool () Would it not be better for RDM to go with dignity, and 'retire' from CFC as a club legend? As if results went the wrong way for him next season, it would be a shame for him to get hounded out after what he's achieved this season. Congratulations again! I was cheering at the end for Didier!
Yeah they deserved it, obviously another bitter spurs fan to add to the list. Like i've said, however they played, they still won, and they deserved to win. Remember Mourinho's Inter vs Barcelona? Inter just defended literally the entire game against the Barca onslaught, and won - it's not all about pretty football!
You're not coming across as very neutral. I don't need to remember any game pal, they did not deserve to win last night. In the future when the barcodes lose at home when they've pummelled the oppositions goal we'll await your 'they deserved to win' comment.
Didn't think it would be long before you had something to say, naturally you didn't cover yourself in glory. keep it up though you'll get there!
If you wouldn't mind ****ing off, nobody is too bothered about what you think Neutral fans have congratulated us and said we deserved it after beating the worlds best teams along the way, yours is a bitter biased opinion. I think it was a shame that you lot aren't allowed to compete in the Champs League because you played some refreshing stuff and I would feel pretty gutted too but you're behaving like a petulant brat, European Champions > 4th in the League. End of.
You boorish p51ck. this isn't about anything other than you didn't deserve it. Don't dress it up as anything else. To do so just makes you sound ridiculous.
Funny you should put the numbers 5 and 1 in the word prick(?). Your response also didn't match what I said, we deserved it, now **** off .
If you get through the Champions League group, beat the current European Champions over two legs and beat one of the best sides in the World on their home patch in the Final you deserve to win regardless of how you played. All this crap about Bayern 'deserving' to win. No, you only deserve to win if you actually win. They didn't because on the night they couldn't put their chances away. Chelsea's tactics were spot on and got the result. It might not have been pretty but football is all about results.
About as classic as telling me to throw **** at myself, slightly concerning you'd think of something like that! Sarcasm is clearly wasted on you.
Good original post and i agree with the sentiments: The best team in every country will always win that countries league. By the very nature of the tournament (a knockout tournament) ANY team that ever wins it will enjoy 'luck' - whether that is luck in refereeing decisions at key stages, luck in opponents missing penalties at key moments, luck in opponents have big players injured/missing/knackered from playing 3 days earlier. I challenge any supporter of any team to look at the following record in the CL and tell me Chelsea werent owed a bit of luck: 2005 - knocked out by a ball that didnt cross the line 2006 - knocked out by the eventual winners. 2007 - knocked out on penalties 2008 - a john terry slip on the moscow turf away from winning it 2009 - THAT barca game 2010 - quarter finalists, beaten by mourinho 2011 - quarter finalists, beaten by eventual finalists. Yes - they faced about 100 shots on goal in 300 minutes of football over 3 matches in the semi finals and finals this year. But they have spent the last 7 years experiencing the 'almosts', the 'what ifs' and the heartache of this tournament. There was nothing controversial about any of those games - no game changing decisions, no incorrectly awarded penalties, no dodgy sendings off and no goals that never were. It was written in the stars, but good luck to them.
'2005-knocked out by a ball that didnt cross the line' It did mate, even if it had'nt the goalkeeper would have got sent off for the foul on Baros,oh and CFC never scored in both legs so it was lack of scoring more than one goal in two games and not bad luck.
JPG--Why have you come on here to go to war with Chelsea fans? I dont know if you support Bayern Munich but if you do I'd be disappointed too, but I wouldn't want to show I didn't have the good grace to shake hands with the opposition that beat me! If you dont support Bayern Munich and you are English/British is it such a bad thing that a UK club brought the most prestigeous trophy in European football back to these shores?
