Firstly, many congratulations on winning the European Cup! <magic>

As a Newcastle United fan, I was delighted to see an English club finally beat a German one on pens!

I do have a question though... why did Fernando Torres refuse to take a penalty?
I saw him having a disagreement with RDM and walking away from him when he was asking about the takers.

Just seemed strange that a £50m striker wouldn't want to take a penalty in the Champions League Final?

I'm not actually sure what happened. Before that he seemed to have already agreed to take one and looked confident.

I think someone else may have stepped up and RDM decided not to let Nando take one of the five.

He's never taken a penalty before so would you really want to take your 1st penalty in a cl final when you've had a nightmare season? Imagine if he had missed, also Spaniards are not very good at penalties and i'm not just basing that on Mata but everytime i've seen a spaniard take a penalty apart from Fabregas they've been awful.

Was good to see Torres celebrate as well guy is a class act and loved seeing him smile. Well done Chelsea, champions of europe !!!!

Think Torres will be gone judging by his comments.

I do hope not. Can't blame him though, how must he feel seeing that cock Kalou's name on the team sheet ahead of him.

I said to my mate before the final "if Torres doesn't start, he's out". Hope I'm wrong tbh. I do love the guy, but his failure to deliver regularly in the bigguns has meant Drogba was always going to start. Wouldn't mind building the team around him, however, it looks like he could be off. If so, we should use him in a possible Falcao deal with Atletico. Worth a punt.

Any of you seen Guillem Balague's twitter?, with the comments Torres made?. Sounds like Torres says he has been treated like ****.

Have a read through his recent tweets.

To be honest, Drogba seems to be on his way out (Might get another year) but I can see Torres getting more and more game time for yourselves and start being the main man.

As a Liverpool fan, I know what he can do. One of the best in the world when he's on the top of his game. He has started to look better in recent weeks and if he can find the form he had for my team, you've got one hell of a striker.

That's a real shame... He has massive support from the fans and he seems to always make a positive impact on the games when he comes on. I really hope we stick with him.

I didn't really see him today at the parade to see what his body language was like.

It's sad for him. It kind of reminds me of when Shevchenko signed for you guys - neither seem to have known how to deal with the price tag or the expectation.

And I agree, it must have hurt like hell to see Kalou in the team ahead of him - he's a player I've never really rated for some reason.

Kalou reminds me of Shola Ameobi at Newcastle, he must do some amazing things in training because on the pitch he is a pile of ****e!

Cannot believe that after winning the CL, fans on here are STILL slagging off some of our players. Christ don't you ever learn ???? If you are such great judges and tacticians, get a job in management, otherwise you're welcome to your opinions, but don't slag players off, they won't get better that way.

I read that he was really upset about not being in the starting XI, so it could have been a toys out of the pram job!

I think the reason why Kalou might have got the nod over Torres could be down to moments like what he did in the 30 secs before he scored at Barca. He lost the ball sloppily when his team needed an outlet, but instead of turning round and fighting to get it back he trotted on AWAY from the defensive line when his team needed him to press. So lost was he in his daze that he meandered into the Barca half when his lucky with the ball getting played to him .... and teh rest is history.

A number of times on Saturday when he did similar. I think RDM probably thought the Clown Kalou would be more dependable at pressing , and that is what he needed.

Torres was given a penalty and then had it taken away from him....but the managers decision is final

Well i doubt Chelsea can lose out on this one

    If Torres stays then good

But if he wants to leave we can use him as bait for Falcao

And IF Drogba, Kalou, Malouda all go aswell I reckon the signings of Hazard & Hulk could be possible and we would have Marin, Sturridge & Lukaku as the backups

    Falcao is a tremendous talent

If we had a 3 man attacking support of Hulk - Mata - Hazard behind him then I would be thrilled although I reckon Ramires has been awesome on the wing

Whatever happens . .We will keep the blue flag flying high
