    lol,
i think the invincible's was a one off, i don't think it will be done in the premiership again, at least not for a long time, if you look at the unpredictability of the season just gone, and the providing that the financial fair play rules come into effect as they have been planned, the playing field has never been more level.

  3. Keown is right on this - the trend of selling our best player has to stop. At the minimum we have to make a statement that we are willing to forego his transfer fee and keep him for a year till he is 30. If we just keep accepting the money , acting as if that is the be all and end all, then clubs will continue to come in for our players.

Right now, we should be signing up our top 15 players on long term deals

Glad to see you've changed your mind from saying we should transfer list him if he hadn't signed before the Euros <ok>

RVP is our best player and we need him next season. Wenger has wanted to keep our best players, the board have insisted that they were sold. RVP will only be worth around £15m at 30 years old anyway - we can afford to keep him and forego the transfer fee if doesn't sign this year.

  5. I have changed my mind on this one and I think you were right.

Someone else made the point that if we bring in another forward and use RVP, Podolski AND another next year, the new player would have an easier transition up to partnering Podolski in the team the following season. I also think that it would send out a better message - one that we dont care about the money because we dont need it.
