Bollocks, if they offer £1.5 or higher Allams will sell while we don't have a manager.
Come to think of it they'll probably sell even if we have a manager in place.

I don't think they want to sell, maybe 2.5-3 would be interesting.

Nonsense. The Allams publicly stated in their interview after NB was suspended that no first teamer who we wanted to keep would be sold this summer. After the criticism they have had over the whole NB affair, they would not now accept a bid for CS, as this would anger the fans even more which they won't want to do. The only way CS will be leaving this summer is if he says he wants to leave and/or hands in a transfer request.

Completely agree, that would be some return on the transfer fee we paid.

I'd like to se him play with a full pre-season under his belt, but there's always the chance he'll still be as frustrating!

Let Nigel know he's available and start the bidding war!

Ok, so you believe everything the Allams say.

    I don't, Barmby didn't.

If Celtic offerd £2.5M they'd say no to keep the fans happy????

Nobody knows if any first team players may have already handed in transfer requests due to the way Barmby has been treat, they might not want to be here.

It is the end of his career if he moves to Celtic. It is very rare that people move to Celtic/Rangers and actually have a successful career. Look at Hooper, pretty sure he'd be at a mid table PL club at least by now but he went to Scotland instead and just gets looked at by Southampton while they're in the Championship.

I never said I believe everything the Allams say, but it is very clear that they both have big ego's and do not like to publicly loose face. Therefore, having now publicly stated that none of our better players will be sold this summmer, I doubt very much whether they will accept offers for the likes of Stewart, Chester or Koren etc. If a player says he wants to leave for whatever reason, that's a different matter. You inferred that the Allams would now simply accept any decent offer for CS, which I think is nonsense.

Hey, love em or hate em, but don't blame successful people for having egos - somewhere down the line it is big egos that pay most of our wages!

As for Stewart, any sort of profit would be good, he has brought nothing beyond step-overs to the team.

they would nt accept a bid unless the new management team think they can do better i presume. as long as they let the new management manage, then we must trust their judgement

Anything north of 2M with a sell on clause would be a good decision. The lad looked uninterested and just not that good this last 6 months

They also said that we'd have money to spend in January.

I'd like our new gaffer to assess all the players really before they leave no matter the price. Although a bid of £2m+ would be hard to reject.

They can't go selling players whilst we don't have a manager, surely?

Whoever comes in could consider Stewart key.

However, based on recent events, I could easily see it happening.

It's the Colonel's way or the highway, after all.

they said they would keep the core of the first team squad.
I don't think Stewart will be part of that next season.
Lets face facts, he was mostly rubbish.
Any offer over 1M should be considered.

City Independent's reports just haven't been worth reading in the last week. It's getting like the worst of tabloid journalism.

Thursday Morning's reports was that *another* city player wants to leave. Cue the sinking feeling in my stomach, as I click on the link, and who is it...

None other than James Harper. And he is another, because the previous day, Kamel Ghilas, a man who is a Hull City player in contract only, said he'd like to stay in the country where he's played the last two seasons of football.

Certain websites, CI included, are running around like headless chickens at the minute. Nothing is happening yet, the transfer window isn't open, and up until now, The Allams have kept their word on every promise they have made regarding the squad, and until their break their word, I'll continue to believe what I see.

Stewart will definitely go, as will Chester. Koren will probably stay and go on a free when his contract expires.

Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike...don't be like this. It's cruel.

You say it with such unflinching certainty. Couldn't you soften the blow?

I hope you are wrong Mike. I hope against hope...
