According to last nights echo, they will be playing at Newton Aycliff, Friday 20 July. Easy to get to night out. Dont know about the fish and chips though.
The club have today confirmed another game in its pre-season schedule. The Black Cats will take part in the prestigious Peace Cup in South Korea in July and will undertake additional friendly games on their return, ahead of the start of the 2012-13 Barclays Premier League season. Sunderland will take on Npower Championship side Derby County at Pride Park on Wednesday 8th August, 7:45pm. Further games are set to be announced in due course and full ticket details will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Nicely tongue in cheek, fair play to you, but If you would care to pop down there with me, and give me a few tips, as to how you younger folk go on, would be greatly appreciated, stuff like drinking and having a good time, all that stuff that I must have missed out on when I was your age.
Three pre-season friendlies have been confirmed, with another three close to being finalised. Gateshead will entertain a Sunderland XI at the International Stadium, the week before the start of the 2012/13 Blue square Bet Premier season.
