Bloody hell if that was banter then we have problems! I sort of take your point but it's hard to have a discussion about football and I don't mean to sound patronising, but are you old enough to remember even George Burley's time in charge?
Yes I saw Ipswich under Burley more than I have any other manager. I started going just before he was appointed. And that's also what I mean about Banter, what I said to Spanish is what alot of people call Banter on this site, that's what I mean it's not funny but when argued against people label it banter as an excuse to be rude and wind people up. And why is it hard to have a conversation about football? It's not exactly rocket science!!
PTC Keane was a bad manager and i got that wrong, i wanted Rhodes to stay but out of him and CWick i think Rhodes was the one that had to go, which was proved right by the sale price of each, although Rhodes does seem to be the more successful at present. As for being a knob jockey, all i can say is...... RIDE 'EM COWBOY!!!

Hey ptc Perhaps you should move onto TWTD! There is a far more serious football discussion going on there the only trouble is that most of the Townies on there are as disillusioned as we are! The only difference is that they wont call you a knob jockey!
What do you expect? This is a tool for venting spleen, releasing pressure and taking the piss, all part and parcel of supporting our team. If you're really offended by being called a knob jockey on t'internet then stay off it or grow a pair of balls ffs

Shame, definitely not for me that forum, too predictable and too many people who think they have inside information which all turns out to be wrong. What I always liked about 606 was the banter with other fans. By the way, if you think we're doom mongers wait till you get on there!
Whilst it's nice to have people with similar views to have a discussion with that is not why I am joining TWTD or more choosing to not use not606 as frequently. It's not because people are anti PJ or doom mongers, it's because not606 has become so 1 dimensional, with only 5 or 6 regular posters, who rarely have a constructive argument or any discussion on football. They just insult people, wum or are rude, apparently calling this banter, this is not banter!!! I'm fed up of there being a sensible discussion suddenly being hijacked with stupid unneccessary comments. I used to enjoy the old 606, it had a good balance, you got the odd stupid comment or lively poster but it was generally evened out by a good debate. The ipswich not606 forum has gradually got worse and worse with now only 4 or 5 people who enjoy so called BANTER posting on it and those who used to enjoy a good discussion gradually being pushed aside and only commenting once in a blue moon or not at all because they feel its the same old same old on here. I'm not the only one who thinks this, I've been inboxed enough times saying so by many users. Numbers are twindling chaps since not606 first started and yes it's probably time for me to bit the dust!!
The problem we have is that there isn't much in the way of positive news coming from the club. When I first joined 10 years ago on the old 606 there was a great vibrantcy where we debated all the latest football issues and had some good banter to go with it. The problem is posters like ptc take themselves so bleeding seriously and tbh I am heartily sick and tired of the "give it another 3 years and we might make the play-offs" bollocks! I guess if the team does start producing the results we want the glory hunters will be back on here!
10 years ago there wasn't very much positive coming out of the club!! People were saying the very same things about Sheepshanks as they are about Clegg!! I far from take myself seriously, perhaps it comes accross on here like that but that's because I'm constantly fighting against the tide or getting abuse!! It's not glory hunters either, have you not noticed how few people post on here now compared to what it used to be like? And when some people do they say "I don't post very often because there's very little worth contributing to the discussions"!! If it carries on like it is there will be only 4 or 5 of you left and you all agree with each, and that'll be no fun for you!!

I actually welcome some of your articles and yes I am guilty of taking the rise at times but it really is all done in jest! We have different views on what needs doing at Town but I value your comments and I would like you to keep onboard
