Where is the provisional squad? It seems ludicrous that they wouldn't pick one Barca player.

I do know their squad for the next two matches doesn't contain one Barca player, maybe that's what you're looking at?

I expect most of the usual faces will be in the final squad, but I do find it a shock that there aren't more Athletic players in there. Susaeta on that right wing would be interesting to see, with Muniain on the left.

 

He can't pick any players who are still involved in a competition, which rules out any Bilbao players because they have the Copa Del Rey final coming up. I assume he'll be able to call up the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Pique, Llorente, etc. before Euro 2012 starts?

How can Johnson (Liverpool 8th) be picked ahead of Richards (Man City 1st)?

Richards has the potential to be world class and is a massive threat in the air.

 

Richards is woeful defensively, as are all England right backs. Hodgson likes solid defensive units and must believe like Mancini and Capello that Richards is not good enough defensively.

 

Ps. like the idea of the fantasy football but not enough to overcome the idea of giving my details to McDonalds.

On to the Richards matter. He's a lot better than Johnson in defence who is just woeful all round.

I know Johnson has not been great in the past, but Richards did struggle against Netherlands albeit against Robben, however I just feel that Hodgson will have picked his defenders based on their defensive qualities not their attacking ones - he may prefer Jones anyway!
