I can't find the exact scoring system, but the trainers and jockeys in your stable earn points and then the horses selected for each race also earn points for placing.

As there will be a maximum of 7 in the Lockinge, with STRONG SUIT likely to defect if the ground remains on the soft side, you may only have the opportunity to pick the first 2 home which, in my eyes at least, will be FRANKEL/EXCELEBRATION.

I was just looking for a nice summary on the site (allowed on that too for the moment!) and i can't find one. But looking at the result for the 2000 guineas it looks like the winning horse picks up 10 x the sp, the runner-up 3 times SP and bizarrely the 3rd also 3 x sp. Will they make it 2 or 3 places for the lockinge, i cant see where it says. Only 7 runners but it's only a fun comp so maybe still three places. So i guess leaving frankel out would be pointless actually, there's a just a massive reward for high sp-placers.

The jocks and trainers were already chosen so there's nowt to be done about them, tho that scoring looks frankly bizarre. i will find the bloody rules somewhere!!

I don't think anybody has any idea how the scoring works. <laugh>

However, as Ches says, I think it is heavily SP based so we should be far better off selecting bigger priced ones to make the frame than Frankel to win.

Found it in the Terms and Conditions section. Jockeys and trainers from the lower lists score more for having a runner and there are different levels of sp multiplication depending on which list they're on as well!!

Enjoy

Stable Selections: Each selected trainer or jockey connected with a winning horse or one that is placed will score as follows:
Trainers and Jockeys from Pool 1 5 points each for a runner or ride, 5 x SP each for a winner, 2 x SP each for a place. For example, if the winning horse is trained by your trainer and the starting price is 5/1, you will score 5 x 5 = 25 points plus 5 points for the runner = 30 points. If a placed horse (second or third) is ridden by your jockey and the starting price is 10/1, you will score 2 x 10 = 20 points plus 5 points for the runner = 25 points.
Trainers and Jockeys from Pool 2 10 points each for a runner or ride, 10 x SP each for a winner, 3 x SP each for a place
Trainers and Jockeys from Pool 3 15 points each for a runner or ride, 15 x SP each for a winner, 5 x SP each for a place
Trainers and Jockeys from Pool 4 20 points each for a runner or ride, 20 x SP each for a winner, 7 x SP each for a place
Trainers and Jockeys from Pool 5 25 points each for a runner or ride, 25 x SP each for a winner, 9 x SP each for a place
Trainer and jockey points will be doubled for the five QIPCO British Champions day races on Saturday, October 20.
Race Selections: Each winning horse selection or one that is placed will score as follows:
Race Win: 10 times the industry starting price. 20 times the industry starting price will be awarded for the five QIPCO British Champions day races on Saturday, October 20. For example, if your horse wins and the industry standard starting price is 10/1, you will score 10 times the starting price i.e. 10 x 10 = 100 points scored
Race Place: 3 times the industry standard Starting Price. 6 times the industry starting price will be awarded for the five QIPCO British Champions day races on Saturday, October 20. For example, if your horse is placed and the industry standard starting price is 5/2, you will score 3 times the starting price i.e. 3 x 2.5 (5/2 = 5 divided by 2) = 7.5 points scored
Place: For the purpose of scoring in the game, place will be applied as follows: In races with 5 to 7 runners place applies to the horse coming 2nd only. In races with 8 or more horses, place applies to the horses coming 2nd and 3rd. In races with 4 or less horses, no place applies and points will be awarded for win only.
Dead Heat: In the event of a dead heat for any win or place position, for the purposes of the game, all dead heated horses will score full win and place points.
Owners will have the opportunity to make two racehorse selections in each of the competitions 35 races. There is no penalty for selecting a losing horse but by not making a horse selection points will be debited from the stable as follows:
Unused Credits: -5pts each horse. These will be debited when points are updated after each race.
Non Runner: In the event that a non runner is selected, the horse will be considered to have been used and no deduction will be made in respect of a no horse selection.
Jockey Change: In the event that there is a change of jockey to any runner after the race cards have been published on the game site, the jockey that takes over the ride will score points and the published jockey will not.
Points will be calculated, awarded and updated on the game site as soon as possible following the completion of each race. The judge’s decision shall be final and TMG will not enter into any correspondence regarding points deducted or allocated.
