How many of you think England have a chance of success at the Euros? Personally I think they will be doing very well to get out of their group. France will be very difficult and Sweden are always formidable opposition. The Ukraine will be no pushovers on their own soil either.

The one thing you can say is that England will probably be welll organised defensively by Roy Hodgson.

Got every chance though i would not have a big bet on them. When it can be won by Greece and Denmark it shows the Euros is quite an open tournament.
We have to play a younger team and not Terry, Lampard, Gerard, Barry, down the spine. The young uns like Ox-Ch, Jones etc.
Spain will take all the beating.

We won't get out the group stages.

Not being pessimistic in any way, it's just France, Sweden and Ukraine on their own patch are better than us.

I don't agree with the inclusion of Downing and Johnson but it's not like the available alternatives would automatically make us favourites is it?

England won't win it - Good tournament is getting through the group stages. We're also rans at International level and probably one of the top sides in a group of so-called 'second' division European sides.

Agree that getting out of the group stage would be fine

If this is the last baw for the old guard and Hodgson involves himself in the development of the squad and the Burton facility, then we might be a force for Euro 2016. We have some young players who are quite promising in Wilshere, the Ox, Jones, Cleverly, Sturridge and even big Andy.

Personally I would have left out of the squad anyone who is going to be too old for Euro 2016 and declared this tournament a development exercise

Personally I don't think we've got a chance. Looking at that squad I really can't see where the goals are going to come from. Rooney is our only real hope for goals and he's suspended for the first two games, so by the time he's back for the third game it could be too little too late.

Judging by the fact he's only taken four strikers (and one of them misses two games) I think it's clear he's going to play a 4-5-1 or a 4-2-3-1 formation, which should make us tough to break down, but I really don't have faith in Walcott, Downing or Milner (if deployed on the wing) to go forward and create much.

Gerrard looks like he'll be playing in that 3 behind the lone striker, but he's been inconsistent and injury prone all season so putting him in such a key position is a massive gamble. Lampard in there would've been a much better shout but picking Gerrard as captain he's made a rod for his own back

We are **** and won't make it out of the group stages. If we do then Hodgson has done a very good job.

We're not good enough but if we get out of the group that would represent success for England. They've got a chance. France have looked a very average side over the last few years but they do have talent in their ranks. Games are always nip and tuck. They got lucky in Lisbon 2004 but it really depends whether they click. When I've watched them of late they're very boring to watch. The Swedes is never an easy game but that is one I expect to win. We're a better side than them, but saying that we have been the previous times we've met them in competitive games. They usually end up a draw. Ukraine is an unknown. They are at home so will put it all on the line. We have a good record against them in recent years but we did lose a qualification match there for the world cup 2010.

Its touch and go whether we'll get out of the group. I'd have been confident with Capello in charge. That is not a slight on Hodgson though who I expect to have us well organised. But Capello always got the maximum from England bar the world cup. He'd have learned from that tournament.

I prefer Hodgson to any England managerin quite a while. He arrives with a lot of experience but without an enormous ego or a set of unreaslitic expectations. I'm quietly optimistic that he'll deliver a good team by the end of his contract.

If you look at England's record in major tournaments throughout history, it will tell you that getting to the QF can be considered a success. On average we make the group stage or first knock-out round.

I like Hodgson and think he's a good appointment. I just hope he is given a fair crack of the whip. To parachute the guy in at this stage, we shouldn't expect miracles. I think over a longer term he'll do a very good job. But he is basically managing someone elses team now because of our bungling FA. I'd have much preferred they'd not ****ed it up, Capello took this final tournament and Hodgson come in after. That was the best scenario for England in my book, not least because Capello was doing a good job and really should have been picking his own captain!

I've seen this a million times with England where the manager is under unreasonable pressure from the off. He's a good manager with a good record but the London press have not got Harry so he'll get a rough ride. I just hope the FA show some balls if does not quite go right in the summer, because I think the guy will do a good job over an extended period. I'm not that keen on his squad but I'm not convinced this would have been his squad if he'd presided over the qualification.

I'd say the likelyhood that they'll win is 1/16.

For me they'll struggle to get out of the group. When you look at the French squad and see the power of their forwards I think we're in for a beating.

If we clear our group whilst playing a good style of football, I'll consider it a good tourney for us.

We're not a top nation and we're not prepared for this, Roy's first competition is 2014 in my eyes, can't really be judged on the Euros.
