Said this many times before, I believe if folks have bothered to post an article, we should all be bothered to give a reply. if the article is not good, just leave a message,,,,,not good, but If You like the article, give them encouragement, and thats what will make this forum stronger. by the way folks. IT COSTS NOWT. I try to answer all, sometimes,, very rarely I wont, for political/ racial/shear bad tste reasons. So the rest is up to you , if you want a healthy forum, DO YOUR BIT.

I can see what you both mean but some of us just aren't on long enough to go through everything. I only really post where something jumps out at me. I think it's people like you and more sporadic posters in tandem who make the forum healthy.

    With familiarity comes contempt.

I agree with a lot of what you say Bill, but I disagree with you on this mate.

Surely you can't have an opinion on everything, an example of 1 today from Syd (who I hope wont mind me saying this) about housing. Not something I am really up-to-date on, therefore I kept away from the post, as I couldn't give an opinion on the thread and it did not interest me.

You cannot please all of the people all of the time.

But if you dont have an opinion tell the folk, "not my thing" or whatever. Just dont fade away. give the folk an inkling. How they, maybe can better get the point over, to influence You into partaking in the thread/debate

How many regulars are on here, 30-40? Posts that aren't very popular should we say, would look silly if they just had a list of everyone jumping on writing 'not my thing'..... whilst 2 or 3 maybes are trying to have a debate on a certain subject.

I am very interested in civility Bill.....after a long period not contributing on threads I made 3 extremely civil but precise replies to this contributor I was then jumped on by a moderator , given what I can only describe as a psycho analysis saying that I was a very uptight PERSON with absolutely no sense of humour I attempted to make contact with this moderator who said he thought the direction of the thread was only going one way but it looks as if there are wheels within wheels....How the heck can a system which is supposed to promote integrity and free speech promote endorse stuff like that...?
I CAN NEVER REMEMBER ANYTHING LIKE THAT EVEN ON THE OLD 606...."THOUGHT POLICE...".....I THINK SO....REGARDLESS OF WHETHER ITS A RESPONSE OR CREATION OF A THREAD IT SEEMS THOSE STRUCTURES EXIST . YOU DO RIGHT TO AT LEAST BRING UP THE POINT.

Understand the sentiment behind your post but if you are going to make a statement like this you should really practise what you preach , on the first page of current post's there is at least 8 Post's that you have not replied to.

Could we not copy facebook and have a like button:emoticon-0148-yes::emoticon-0149-no:

Takes nano seconds as opposed to "reply with quote".

Sometimes I cry if my thread is not successful. It ruins my day and I go around kicking bins in anger....be warned your bins!

So if we all say good or not good there will be lots of meaning less postings to look through and it will take more time and be boring. So what do I think of this idea well.....not good.

If I was the moderator can you tell me because I am unaware of any wheels within wheels, I am really interested because we do try and promote free speech, with responsibility but free none the less.

On the OP Bill I post loads and some are read others are not, I adopt a scatter gun approach and TBH most posts are simply to keep the board alive. I personally have no problem with anyone who ignores any of my posts because its not their thing, horses for courses.
