Yeah, I'd agree. I Wouldn't want them to win anyway - just because of the way they got there. If that's the way football is going, I think I'll go back to watching R.F.U exclusively
He's consumed, isn't he! I can only imagine that, as a small kid at school, he was buggered by a sixth form prefect, and was forced to bite down on a Spurs scarf to stop him from screaming. "Squeal, piggy, squeal!" The poor bloke has borne the scars (both mentally as well as physically) ever since.
We may have 'parked the bus' v Barca (ignorant spuds probably don't even realise this term derived from them!!!) but we put in some great performances against the likes of Napoli and Valencia at home and Benfica away. You lot are so bitter it is frankly embarrasing. Our boring brand of football put 5 past you the other week so get a fukin grip.
Oddly enough I think if Chelski tried to take the game to Bayern they might have a better chance because they would have a big element of surprise, and the Bayern team might have been set up to do nothing but lay siege to Chelski. Of course it won't happen because Chelski have the confidence after shutting out Barca (forgetting about any luck that might have played its part), and might not be equipped to attack (players and mindset). COYB
Yeah. And we finished 2 places and 5 points ahead of you, after 38 games. So, figures can be twisted around any way you want. There's no way you were that much better than us on the day. Yes, you deserved to win. But we played ****e, and just about everything you hit at our goal went in.
Jose Mourinho criticizing another team for being defensive is like Kate McCann calling somebody a remarkably unconvincing liar.
Why do people always say that their team scored x goals, therefore they're an exciting side? The two aren't necessarily connected.
True. But playing a defensive minded tie against the best club side probably ever, doesn't make you a boring side either. We did what we had to do to get the result and we did, out scoring them in the process. We probably took part in the most exciting tie in the C.L this year against Napoli when both teams just went for it in both ties. Great games to watch, proper football. But some people have short memories and/or are very bitter at the moment. As a side issue, I happen to find Barca's football extremely boring...put in a fukin cross for once!!
Changed the game for all of 5 minutes till you scored and we had Luiz taken off. What happened from that point on???
Goals change games. I'm sure that you weren't too impressed when Liverpool beat you in the Champions League due to a goal that didn't cross the line. You've had two against us in two seasons. Redknapp changed the tactics because we went two down, preparing Defoe and opening up the midfield for Mata. Why this needs to be explained to people that watch football every week is beyond me, in all honesty.
Goals do change games but it could be argued that from when you made it 2-1 you were in a better position than at 1-0 due to being in the ascendency and all that. It's all conjecture of course but the fact remains in that last 30 minutes there was only one team in it with wave after wave of attack. Not bad for such a 'boring' team aye?
I've already explained why you did so much better in the last half hour than you did in the first hour and what relation that had to the ghost goal. Funny how you weren't so entertaining in either league game when you weren't gifted the game by the ref, eh?
these idiots have not got over that yet..they were even saying the Carroll header which was cleared off the line/crossed the line...was revenge for that CL goal and you have to explain things due to thier arrogance getting in the way of understanding.....they do realise that they finished 6 points below us and 2 places.....id say 38 games over a season would indicate who the better team is...6 points is not 1 point..incase gooners get a hardon from reading this.
