i like gardener, i think his attacking midfield play/ along with sess and a few others, is what we have desperately missed over the last few seasons, i would certainly keep him, decent squad player at least.
I'm maybe a bit harsh saying he's ****, he has good feet and a decent shot. Limited passing though, doesn't create, and often seems to react after the ball has gone. He is decent enough as a squad player, but he'll want to play.
Well i never really liked Gardner before we bought him, 1 season wonder with what was it, 11 goals or so, but in his whole career only 17 goals, and he has done absolutely nothing to make me change my mind. I also hate saying our players are rubbish, but I am not a hypocrite either, so I have to stick to what I said about this time last year, not impressed and on this seasons showing, never will be im afraid.
I wouldnt say any players are **** but air can that they have been playing ****. I don't know how anyone can slag Elmo off and stick up for Wickham based on a couple of years age difference. How about Elmo moving thousands of miles away from his family to a country he doesn't speak the language. Wickham has looked like someone who won a competition to be a football for a year. He has been abysmal, i dont care if he's 19 or 29. I've never and would never get on his back at games and i pray he get better I really just can't see it. I know it wasn't his fault we paid 8m for him but it was a total waste and a shocking buy from Bruce. People say he was playing well before he got injured? When, what games exactly? He has had one good moment this year against Villa and thats it. There's better in League 1 simple as that.
Gardner, signed the contract then wanted to go back to the Midlands, to be quite honest you could say that apart from Mignolet, Sess & McLean, they've all been ****e especially the last couple of months
I'd have Connor Wickham at our place if MON feels like you and doesn't want him. Still think he'll turn out to be a cracking striker. Writing off a kid of that age who has shown significant promise before arriving is beyond foolish.
How can you say Elmo is bad. Our manager frequently names him on the bench and often brings him on. I wish I was that bad.
Stoke fan just dropping in guys.. Erm, I've just seen a link that K Jones is for sale, open to offers according to Pulis. Might sound stupid but, who do you think would take him? As I think he's not quite **** but pretty close what we've seen of him anyway.
I think MON could get the best of of Kenwyne. Gardner wants back to the midland, put a hood over their heads and we'll exchange them halfway
Marty has a great record for rejuvenating players who've lost their way a bit and there's no he has bags of talent, I'd have him back in a heartbeat. please log in to view this image
While I wouldn't say any of these players are s**t - they cannot take us to the next level....i.e top 8. Players I think are vunerable are: Gordon McCartney Killgallon Turner Gardner Elmo Vaughan Bramble Meyler Wickham Ji I don't under MON any of those have a place (the last 3 on this list could go on loan).
Completely this! Thanks for a little sense on Wickham WP - I think he showed some fantastic ability before his injury - I rate the lad as was delighted when we signed him - biggest issue we have is that people get on a players back. He had a run of games leading up to the Villa game he scored in where he looked a very good player - then he got injured so these people saying they have never seen any promise obviously didn't attend matches or just simply have already written him off - I called Adrian Durham for slating our fans saying we'd be booing him within the season - turns out he was right (the people on here who don't boo him or get on his back at the matches are undone by a number of other people in the crowd who do get on his back at the games) - As I said - if I was doing a job and had a noisy bunch getting on my back because I wasn't having a great day or week, how would I have done?? I probably wouldn't be in the position I am now
Sorry mate , just don,t see it . I haven't wrote the kid off yet but I also haven't seen anything in his 5 starts this year to suggest that he is anywhere near a premiership player. First touch is poor, for a big lad gets knocked of the ball far too easy. I appreciate his age and the fact he has not been fully fit but to say he showed fantastic ability is simply not true. The boy could never live up the hype that his large transfer fee brought, but that was not his doing, to give the kid every chance we need to loan him out to a good championship side for 6 month to try and gain some confidence and hopefully all going well come back in January and push for a first team place.
Can't see why anyone would want Kenwyne back. A great guy, but IMO a very lazy player, ask the Stoke fans. How many of you wanting him back were the same ones ON his back before he left? A big lad who gets bossed by all C/D's, he should be pushing them around, unfortunately not, spends more time on his backside than his feet.
