    Hi Newcastle Fans

I have a mate who supports Newcastle who's worried about Cisse leaving in the summer.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a rule against playing for more than two teams in a calender year or something? He's played for two already this year... right?

Isnt it per season? So he would be free to move to another team if im right.

I hope we can keep hold of him, I have my doubts though - hes the the striker in form, Ba isnt.

Very confident that Cisse, Colo and Cabaye will stay with us for at least another season, Ba and Tiote will be the ones who go if any IMO.

Would be nice to keep hold of all of them, but we'll just have to wait and see what the powers that be think.

If we were to keep hold of our key players, and perhaps invest 10-15 million in the summer, I think that would be enough to see us have a decent Europa run and another champions league push next season.

In Ashleys mind he has to consider whether or not its worth his while keeping the current players, improving the squad.... and going for the champs league and recoup his money that way or whether or not to sell our key men while they are currently hot property, as we all know football can change very quickly.

I pray that he takes the first option.

Being petulant and selling the majority of our key players in the long run could end up hurting his bank balance more than he ever expected. Lets see if he does the smart thing.

People bang on about him selling our "best" players and stuff but when you think about it:

Carroll- 35 million is a ridiculous sum to turn down for any team not just us, and allegedly we had already turned down 30 million and he handed in a transfer request and wanted to go, if so I probably would have done the same.

Nolan- Wanted a ridiculously large contract when he was already showing signs of stagnating fitness wise and performance wise, we haven't missed him one bit this season, barring his leadership on the pitch perhaps.

    Barton- No explanation needed.

Jose- Wanted to leave, and any player we have or have had regardless of how good they are or how much we love them, should not be playing for us if their full heart isn't in it.

So really should we actually expect all of our best players to leave unless the players actually ask to leave themselves? We could be in for a nice surprise.

P.s I realise all of the above has probably already been said and discussed to death, but I'm just thinking out loud <ok>

I think we might lose 1/2 players in the summer, but listening to the radio they are talking about Van Persie going to Man City, and even Aguero going to Real Madrid. SO it can happen to any club not just us. As long as we sign 2/3 more than we lose i would be ok with that. Apart from Ba who has the release clause, anyone else will cost a hell of a lot more than we paid for them.

I think Cisse is pretty much the only player Pardew has said definitely won't be moving, if I remember his interviews correctly.

It's just lazy journalism linking Cisse to RM. I'm pretty sure Cisse has since taken legal action against the journalist who started that story for fabricating quotes and attributing them to Cisse. Not the first time it's happened to that journo either

At the end of the day, if anyone wants one of our key players, they're gonna have to pay some serious wedge to get him; which is fine by me cos, if last summer is anything to go by, the money will be wisely re-invested.

I think we'll sell one or two players at a large profit - - Tiote and Ba sound likely.

I also think we'll be a better team net season. Even with the rumoured buy out clause, they'd generate something north of £20m. Our entire starting 11, bar Cisse, cost less than that. Two very good players out, 4 - 5 in

    Fair enough.

Ashley would be a fool to let him go for less that £30m, and he's not that sort of fool. With that sort of money we can tie Ba down, keep everyone else, buy a defence and some kick ass wingers. Put Ba back in the middle and let him score 25 a season.

He wont let anyone take the piss. He proved that with the Carroll deal, if he does sell he'll get his money.
