Betty and Beryl won the Sony Music, Best Entertainment Programme award... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/...ged-86-and-90-scoop-top-Sony-Radio-Award.html That's better than a chicken dinner.
Well done Ladies. There programme is always a good listen. Refreshing change to the standard fair on radio. I cannot beleave that Gray and Keys won the sports programme of the year award on Talkshe-ite ? That station is full of babbling baboons and cannot be taken seriously as a serious sports radio station.
Good god. After Saturday Sports finishes on Blunderside; the radio is turned straight to 5 live to avoid these two bumbling old dears! How they've won an award I do not know.
Haha ! Can't beleive theres bitching on here about this ! Oh and i like Deal or no deal. Were mad us city fans aren't we ? Some of you (not me) like THE VOICE ! Mad,the lot of us !
I listened once after the City vs Leicester home game. And after 5 minutes of listening I thought "what on earth are these people doing on the radio?!" Fair doos if people think they're good enough to win an award. Just DEFINITELY not my cup of tea
Dunno if anyone noticed, but Betty and Beryl got a half page in yesterday's Guardian, in a very complimentary article by Zoe Williams.
You mean the Guardian is a really popular mainstream newspaper and I'm way off the mark in my assessment?!?!
Some people read it - some people don't , just like all the other papers. If you don't like it or read it - fair enough, I happen to detest all the Murdoch papers and the DM, but that's just an opinion same as yours is.
The Guardian is about the only paper worth reading nowadays. Unfortunately, it's no good for those who can't manage words with more than two syllables.
It's not so much the length of words as the sequence of them to form nonsensical phrases and treehugger platitudes. Great if you're a public sector worker or a media type trying to get a job though.....
I suppose a lot of people must seem like that to you....... Chin up, it'll come one day. We're all willing you to do well.
