Tevez was fouling him first, but it was just a bit scrappy and a yellow card at most if given, and I'm sure I would have gone down if elbowed full force in the throat.
Can't really see another Prem move for him ... the disruption he has caused at QPR both on and off (Warnock citing him as a major factor in his getting the sack) the field means it will be a very brave manager to take the risk .... you'd almost want to see him in the Championship or lower .. if he tries his antics there he might just come up against a Stevie Walsh clone .... god help the smarm ball then ...
I'd love to see him trying to be a tough man against us with Michael Brown in the team. Suspect he might be leaving the pitch for a different reason then.
Yeah because Brown is solid.. All he does is cowardly two foot lunges. He's almost as bad as Barton in my eyes.
No - because as AKCJ said all he does is cowardly two foot lunges. There is a difference between tough tackling and just plain ineptitude - back in the day he was a solid defender so you could forgive him being a nutter, now that he is not he is just inept - doesn't he hold a record for most players injured in a match? Edit: Just had a quick look on the interweb and Kevin Muscat holds that record apparently - now there was an absolute nutter.
Possibly, but if you look at his tackles for us the vast majority are hard but fair. Reading fans were complaining like mad about Brown supposedly injuring Karacan, but if you look at the actual tackles he won the ball every single time.
The problem with judging players is that when they don't play for your team you mainly get to see the 'bad' tackles - so the Leeds fans are undoubtely better placed to judge Brown than we are ... but he has put in a few shockers - but so have the likes of Scholes and Lampard - particularly the former who is nasty little git but whose qualities for club and country have gone a long way to a tacit acceptance that he just 'can't tackle'. We've had our fair share - Allan Woollet, Steve Kember and Ali Mauchlan could all mix it ... and Walshy was a complete nutter when Brain Hamilton first signed him ... so much so that the myth has it that nobody dared to look at him or talk to him in the changing rooms during his first couple of months - and his clashes with Steve Bull were epic (they spawned a whole new sport - cage fighting) - the one with David Geddes vergeing on GBH... yet Walshy is now a complete Legend as far as the majority of our fans are concerned.
Michael Brown isnt a footballer. He has no skills or talent with a football he just runs around blantantly kicking people
