I will be slightly gutted if Derry goes TBH. Been one of our most consistent players for me this season.
Completely agree about the midfield of Faurlin and Diakite, real quality. As good a midfield pairing as most teams outside the top 6/7. However, Faurlin isn't a captain. I, like many others have said, would opt for Ferdinand.
I can just see it now Faurlin sitting back picking the passes for Cisse to get behind the defenses. And then you have Diakite with his power and pace bursting forward and going on those runs of his.
I completely agree with the very obvious choice Peruvian suggested. Jamie Mackie. The modern Gareth Ainsworth. No one else comes close!!
Mackie for captain, he is definately an inspiration to everyone, he gives everything, every game, can never question his effort, he could lead us!
