What a waste of talent Leon Knight is. I remember my neighbour said to me after signing him from Brighton that he was nothing but trouble. When I went to the evening game back in league 1 sat with the Brighton fans and they were thanking us for taking us off there hands. From what I can gather he's been like that ever since he left us.
I saw someone talking to him on Twitter and he'd said "I remember seeing you in PE in primary school; you'd had a bust up with the teacher and he was making you do laps." Clearly been a bit of a wildcard all his life! Shame no one could get a handle on it.
Leon was/is a real enigma. Very talented footballer,who probably needed,but didn't get,the right type of help when he was younger. Real shame. I seem to remember him scoring two beauties at Griffin Park,Brentford,in second leg play off match. At least,I'm pretty sure it was him.
Yeah, Leon dinked the ball over the top to him for the second one and he caught it on the volley into the top corner, that the one? They said they'd been working on it in training too! Pity he's turned into such a "hothead"...
That must be the one ,Scott. I was listening to the match on radio,and the commentator went into raptures over the goal. I've still not seen it,but will always remember it. Sounds like he suffers from whatever ails Barton.
