I know we've only seen Marveaux in a handful of games, but whenever he's played, he's shown great vision, passing, good ability on the ball and good work rate.

I personally would rather have someone with better pace on the LW, But I reckon Marv could play behind the front 3. With his nippy feet and vision, he'd be great in that role.

    New LW**------Cisse--------HBA

    ----------Marveaux-----------

    -----Tiote--------Cabaye----

    Santon---Colo----Saylor--Debuchy

    --------------Krul---------------------

I know we all love Jonas, but if Marveaux proves he has great creative skills, which IMO he already has, I would prefer Marv to start in some games.

Jonas could start if we were in need of more defensive work rate, but if we're going for it, I'd play Marv in behind the front 3, and Cabaye and Tiote behind him.

Marv could be deadly in that position. Quick feet, good ball control, and slotting players through.

    **Hoilett?
    Hazard :D

It cracks me up sometimes when you list peoples attributes

I just keep expecting something such as "...good work rate, + 1 invisibility and silver feet of flight" tacked onto the end. Not disagreeing though as you are right, he looks like he has some class.

Honestly though have no idea if marv could play there, other than his showing some really good distribution when Ive seen him. Not even sure hes ever played there consistently. And all this providing he stays fit anyway, which worries me.

No Ba or Gutierrez, Ba will come good again next year here.

I like Marveaux and I like your enthusiasm about him but its early days to be going on about how amazing he is, hes probably played the equivalent of about two games for us this season if you add up the minutes, that's nowhere near enough time to tell whether hes as good as you make him out to be.

I wouldn't start next season with him in the starting lineup, Gutierrez has been good all season played almost every minute and been vital to our defensive work and you would put Marveaux ahead of him on the basis of two games? We'll get plenty of time to see what hes like over the course of next season anyway we will need to rotate our squad to cope with Europe/cups and prem.

I do agree with Debuchy though, I haven't seen him play but heard nothing but good things about him. However I would have liked to see Santon be shifted to right back and a new LB brought in, because then we would be left with a right footed left back when we could very easily have just shifted him over.

As far as the LW position goes I agree that we need someone who works in that position, Ba tries hard mostly but hes not a LW player by a long shot, and overall I think Cisse is the better striker.

I would love Adam Johnson for the LW slot, he would be absolutely spot on, English, supports us and has proven that hes a quality player, just doesn't get games at City due to them having unlimited better options. He would be my choice but I would love Hoilett aswell.

I'd struggle to drop Jonas from any team. And for me Santon needs to move to right back and play his natural role. To be honest picking 11 is impossible these days. Squads are much more important and teams tend to have three or four teams which all serve a different purpose. I like what Pardew said about tactics, formations and players. He prefers whichever one is going to win on that particular day.

    ............Hoilett Cisse HBA
    ........Wijnaldum Tiote Cabaye
    Santon Colla Saylor/Douglas Debuchy
    ......................Krul

Those signings are comfortably covered by the sale of Ba, as long as we get more than 7million for him. I love Demba, but he doesn't fit in our 4-3-3. After that, any squad players should be replaced with younger squad players with more potential. On top of that, I don't think we need any more backup. Elliott, Perch, Fergie, Ameobi, Gutierrez, Marveaux can cover every single position on that pitch. Perhaps a backup DM with plenty of potential for when Tiote gets his inevitale suspension, but seriously, we are so close to an unbelievable team, that would be top 4 imo.

EDIT: Wijnaldum has passed the FIFA and youtube test for me, but any other midfielder who plays that role would be suitable. Less attacking than Cabaye, less defensive than Tiote, a cheaper Fellaini for example.
