As I've already pointed out the whole sequence of events would have played out differently. Had he not got sent off then its very unlikely that QPR would have been 2-1 up going into injury time anyway. Of course we'll never know what would have happend, but i'd suggest City would have probably won comfortably against 11 with no late dramas!
Have to say, reading Bartons twitter, he doesn't seem the shy type. Since that game, hes pretty much bad mouthed Shearer, and threatened Lineker with revealing his darker side for everyone to see. He is an odious pretentious twat, but, he is sort of funny with it...
this, of course, is the shearer who made a career of well-placed elbows but didn't like playing against justin whittle.

He is right about the lack of consistency though. At least 2 of the Man C players should be charged also but they won't. They're now under the protection of the FA thanks to the money that club wields. Sad really.
Truly hope you're kidding on the first sentence. On a football pitch clearly elbowing someone in the face, then kicking another player AND THEN trying to headbutt another player is unacceptable. What I don't understand is... if Deano can get 3 red cards in a game? Why can't this prat? Should get a year ban IMO.
I met him at Centre Parcs about three years ago. Turns out he was in the lodge thing next door but one. Came across as a really nice bloke and when he left he gave my lad a football him and his son had been using. On that Holiday I also met Ronnie Moore and saw one of the PL refs. His name escapes me but he was the one that Fergy said wasn't physically fit enough to ref anymore. Rub shoulders with the jet set me.
Personally I'd like to see Barton play a bit of Rugby League. Next Hull v Leeds match perhaps? Either side. Love to see him nut Mark O'Meley or Ryan Bailey. Don't think we'd have to worry about him being red carded, problem might be finding a bit of him big enough to be worth putting on a stretcher
