    Hansen said it was Cisse, and Lineker, Shearer and Hansen all said it was close between Crouch, Hatem and Cisse.

    I wondered why the Coates goal against QPR didn't even make the top 10. Not saying it should have won, or even in the top 5, but it seems to be 'the forgotten goal'

    Cisse goal had to be goal of the season, but also credit to Raylor and HBA both great goals.

    Basically the shortlist is those that won each goal of the month, so unfortunately for Coates that was back in March when Crouches goal went in. A bit like how Tiotes equaliser against Arsenal was the same weekend that Rooney scored that overplayed "Goal of all time" (great but not that great imo).

    I also was surprised van Persie's goal was not mentioned in the top 3 of the season; great goal.
