Rooney is such a pig. And a vile one at that. Supposed to be the face of England as well. Sad times...

You have no sense of humour, just because a person may make a reference to a drug in a way that is not negative does not make them a bad person.

In terms of what people (and children in particular) are witnessing, Fowler's actions were unquestionably worse though. What annoys me most about this is that the crux of the thing seems to be "Rooney is a high profile player and should know better." Whilst I understand the point that is being made there, if you score a crucial goal there will be an outpouring of emotion, regardless of how high profile you are. Rooney's actions weren't clever but he has done a lot worse than swear at a camera.

No they weren't, it was just a joke, I have no time for all this role model bollocks. My point of view is that if you genuinely felt offended by either of their actions then it is you that has the problem. To be honest I didn't see anything wrong with what he did, nobody was hurt by it were they?

Totally agree with you on this one , anyone who has played football and scored a decisive goal will know that certain emotions will have to come out and these are different in each and every one of us. Unfortunately, most of the southern based journos, FA members and general "do- gooders" have never played football at a competitive level or even at all ! How can they know what Rooney had to release at that precise moment, after all have they ever been called " YOU FAT BASTARD " for almost a hour by hundreds if not thousands of people ? You will never end the southern bias, and I could talk all night about different examples, but remember it is more fodder for Fergie to work his spell and remember Fergie is brilliant !!!!!!!

I don't know what causes it but it is definitely double standards. I wish people could be adult about it.

by that rule, because someone swears does not make them a bad person, what fowler did was far worse and example to kids, i was making a comparison off someone who is critcising rooney for swearing when they celebrate a player who promoted sniffing cocke

Yeah I never said I thought Rooney was in the wrong. Also, kids are not as impressionable as that, they will not become a drug addict because they saw one person pretending to sniff a white substance.

I dunno, it doesn't take much for kids to thing that drugs, like smoking, are "cool". And COMAS' comment was aimed at bow4fowler who is having a go at Rooney whilst conveniently ignoring Gerrard's two fingered ref salute...

Surely by the time kids are old enough to take the drug they won't be as impressionable to copy someone off the tv because they are cool?

You're probably right, but then you'd be surprised how stupid kids can be...
