It’s The CanariesSoccer Match Center for the ballgame featuring: Villains @ Canaries Live from The DeliaDome™. This season finale matchup ends a great year for Canaries in their inaugural EPL series. With safety guaranteed, Coach Lambert has used his last few ballgames to experiment with formations and developing new pass-plays, so it is fair to expect a fresh line-up with new tactics. Coach Lambert: “""I thought we were brilliant. I thought the performance at Spurs wouldn't be bettered, but it has, that was better. To come here against a team that is flying and vying for Champions League football, and play the way we did, I can't praise of thank the lads enough for what they've given me” Canaries will be looking to build their performance in their Three versus Three tiegame @ Gunners, which saw Canaries fight back to secure one ballgame-point and dent Gunners hopes of a UEFA Champions Series qualification slot. In that matchup the (fairly or unfairly) discredited S. Morison converted an excellent semi-no-bouncer late on, which saw Canaries earn a well deserved tiegame. please log in to view this image Villains currently sit P16 in the EPL Divisional Standings, a position which has angered many Franchise fans who have been calling for the rejection of Coach McLeish . Traditionally a well-performing Franchise, Villains have struggled following the takeover by US investors, and until last week looked possible candidates for relegation. Coach McLeish: "Listen, I have taken a lot of weight on my shoulders this season. I was happy to take pressure off the players. I am not going to again next season though. They had better get their finger out. We've had to be in a bit of a dogfight all season. Our early-season form wasn't too bad but, since the New Year, we've had problems to contend with injury-wise. To lose two of your most experienced players (Darren Bent and Richard Dunne) for such a long time will hurt any team” Villains will have a point to prove against Canaries, however this matchup will be fierier than usual with the added prospect of the Team-UK selections to be announced by Coach Hodgeson next week. Canaries S-A-C G. Holt and S-A-P J. Ruddy have both been touted to be included in his European Soccer Championship squad, and will be sure to go all-out to prove they have what it takes This sure is going to be a great Soccer matchup, so fill up your Coca-Cola™ tankards, get your hot-dog's and grab a seat for this smash-and-grab matchup, brought to you exclusively on Not606! Also, may I add as a side note, it has been a real privilege and honour to host the match threads for this year. I’ve really enjoyed it and we’ve had some cracking banter with opposition fans, particularly the Liverpool and Geordie lot. Hopefully you will let me carry them on next year, and with the possible reintroduction of cross-board threads, we should have another cracking season! So thank you very much, it’s been a pleasure. PC - you don't need to ask about next year, it's a given, we all owe you a debt of gratitude, and believe me, we are very grateful, you do a superb job on these threads and most opposition fans now understand, and enjoy them! Thank you very much! <Imaybegratefulbutgetyourhandsoffmymaltemoticon>
For once I feel confident going into a game, and even we lose I don't care because it will be a great day to finish off a great season!
Excellent as usual CS, pity there's no Villians on not606 to banter with though <bloodygreattumbleweedemoticon>
Just watched Rachel Riley on tv, she looks exactly like someone I went out with in the seventies, reminiscence is a wonderful thing, isn't it? Anyway, this is just a spoof, I'm sure, but made me laugh. No offence to Villans (of whom there are none on here, so no worries ): please log in to view this image
Good job CS... We've had a some great match day threads this season and last. Liverpool was the best one for me. Exactly the nature I'm sure that was intended. What about Spurtz tho? Geez that one didn't go down so well. Amazing the attitude of some on here. Anyway i'm drivelling on now so well done and pls keep them up! 2-2 Sunday
Darren bent could well feature and has declared himself fit for the euros Bound to score against us if he plays
Excellent as always CS. As Dave has said, there is no need for you to ask to do the match thread, WE hould be asking YOU Many many thanks for all your efforts this season. I have really enjoyed them. They make my match days/evenings
If you see a guy running on the pitch towards Bent at the game tomorrow then I think we will know who it is then!
Unchanged line up wahoo A sign of things to come (next season) or rewarding last weekends players? No pilks either. Or bent
Having seen the line up I am going to agree with Mark Lawrenson 2-0 to City Great to see Holt & Jacko up front together once again and hopefully both will be goal converters in this afternoon's sell out EPL game at the Delia Dome, I still firmly believe this should be our home game plan every time, if not for all away ball games.
Time for Holt to shine. I'll bet you any money you like that one of Woy's scouts will be in the ground today. COME ON YOU YELLERS!
