    Much more goals and assists and I think Everton as a defensive unit have conceded less goals than Liverpool. I could be wrong about the second bit though mind.

    Baines is average defensively, his goals and assists are the reason he's in the team.

    I'd say hes better than average, always looked very decent in the odd Everton game I've seen.

    I'd say Baines was probably the best left back in the league 2 years running previous to this year but by all accounts his form hasn't been quite as good this season. Class player.

    Baines is a lot better than average defensively. I would agree he is yet to prove himself as good as Cole in that regard but he is still very good. Otherwise in terms of touch, crossing etc he is top class. To be fair Benni could tear any defender a new one.

    Strange because Jose was a model of consistency for us. Indeed you would say it was one of his main strengths.

    Clearly we are his spiritual home and they should release him from his imprisonment.
