So do you think the punishment is both fair and conducive to a true representative result tomorrow?

Wait one minute... You shouted me down on the other thread for suggesting bias in the FIA... And here you are making a statement I exactly agree with (don't harm yourself because of this...)

sorry for the delay sgt ,

i will give you the most honest answer i can without any mclaren prejudice , if they were cheating mclaren deserve everything the FIA throws at them ,

in fairness only mclaren know if they were actually cheating or not , lets have it right next to monaco , barcelona is the other track where pole is more than a very useful thing to have so it would not surprise me given there history if mclaren were playing fast and loose in the ethics dept today -

and in all honesty if hamilton had not received a penalty i dont believe he would have won on sunday , i still believe he has a flaw of looking after his tyres that the other quick boys dont have ,

i believe he might have got a podium tomorrow but i honestly think the win would have been beyond him -

Why would they cheat when Hamilton was fastest by a clear margin? Seems unnecessary...

Would he have won tomorrow? I doubt it too, but I reckon he's not inherently bad at managing tyres, the car just has a bad ability, hence why Jenson(supposed tyre king) fairs little better.

This is a boring spanish track, so his race is well and truly screwed in my opinion, but for a safety car etc... I put 5th, but think 10th will be hard enough.

@martial This is Barca(lona). The win was almost nailed on.

As JPF says, with a .6 second advantage, why would McLaren need to bend the rules?

As far as I'm concerned, the pole was valid, end of.

    Haha Kyle.
I must admit I have disagreed with you many a time, most of the time in my former alias.

Considering both McLaren drivers used all their options on a track that's very difficult to overtake on, it won't be easy. Not a big Hamilton fan, but I hope he does well because that call was BS. 8th.

why was the win so " nailed on " when the tyres are now so marginal , the days when hamilton can go out and rag a set of the bullet proof bridgestones to an inch of there life are over , driving a formula car in the current format requires a little more finesse these days ,
-- a finesse which i honestly dont believe hamilton has in his locker ,

as for why mclaren would bend the rules , maybe they were not aware that red bull did not posses the pace for pole today -- who knows

--- you are never likely to get the truth from mclaren -

Look at the history of Barcelona... Hence why I said it was "almost" nailed on. But according to some, Hamilton has no strong points in his locker. So you're probably right... He'll likely never win another race, and if he does then I'm sure it will be pure luck.

And I'm sure they were terrified of Red Bull today...

Wow... No relevant, but wow... I mean, I have watched racing from the 30's, 40's, 50's etc etc, yet I assume this would mean nothing because I wasn't actually "there"... Like you're some kind of Vietnam vet.

Your personal opinion is very anti-mclaren, or anti-hamilton, so what in particular makes you feel that way? We know you don't rate his ability, but that's informed by an agenda, not facts or anything else useful for discussion. So why the harshing on his mallow...?

you are not really seeing the wider picture sgt ,
the format is very different now than it was in the bad old days of the indestructable bridgestones and fuel stops and the inherent lack of overtaking opportunities that went with that format

the current format is DRS that gives more than ample opportunity to pass and the very marginal pirelli tyres

as i said a totally different way and format of racing when nothing is " nailed on " anymore --

I don't speak for him, but surely he meant that, in the normal course of events given Lewis' advantage over 2nd in quali and the fact it's hard to overtake here, it would be an easy win in all likelihood? If I see overtaking tomorrow I'll be surprised. Very very surprised. But obviously pleasantly surprised

are people on a forum not allowed to have an alternative objective opinion about any team or driver that is currently connected with formula 1

or are they only allowed to have an opinion that runs identical with yours --

--- you will have to explain your rules to me -

Just questioning you on them, as I'm allowed to in the aforementioned state of a forum... Why, can't you deal with scrutiny?
