What are peoples consoles of choice then? I had a knackered old original XBOX up till last year, then got a PS3. I was quite disappointed with the PS3 console and ended up selling it after a few months. I wanted to try playing games online and found the whole experience a bit naff to be honest on PSN. My brother said I would find XBOX360 and the paid online a much better experience so I went and got one of those for my sins and love it really, you get what you pay for with this, the online is so much better it's untrue and I don't mind shelling out for it. Plus the dashboard and the apps are so much better. XBOX Live blows PSN out of the water and the games you can get are fantastic. I think XBOX is more for the gamers possibly PS3 people who like stuff like blueray and other things like superdetailed graphics, for me its about the games rather than how neat they look.
For anyone interested in Bethesda games, apparently Skyrim DLC is coming out soon, also Fallout 4 may come out at the end of the year before christmas, apparently it's set in China to give you their perspective of the Nuclear war and the aftermath they go through
I'm pretty much the same as this - I play FIFA online a lot and lost so many games from disconnection on PS3, switched to the 360 and its only ever happened when the internet has cut out completely, not just when I load a busy webpage on my laptop. I think 360 and PS3 have an equal amount of pros and cons - but the PS3 pros are pointless. Ie Blueray, which is pretty pointless in my eyes, I don't think it makes a big enough different to fork out a ****load more money over the course of buying 20 films. Plus internet browsing? - use a computer! The only thing that I'd like to see the 360 take on from the PS3 is it's lack of noise.
I used to play my Brothers Nintendo 64 when I was younger, I dug it out of the loft a few months ago and it's still great fun, Theres something beautifully simplistic about them. I currently have an Xbox which are good if you like being shown up on fifa by someone who spends all day on it.
I bought the PS3 because I heard the specs were better and obviously had the blueray but its style over substance in my book. Didnt have much fun playing it, since I got the 360 have used it non-stop the online is great and it just seems a lot more fun to use, also a big plus is installing games to the hard-drive and the amazing stuff you can download.
AION, SWTOR, Football superstars, Family Guy online, Battlefield 3 , APB , Skyrim, DCUO ... roughly the games I am playing at the minute
I used to be addicted to fifa especially pro clubs and played every night for hours...joined a club and got high up the rankings. Decided it was taking over my life so sold most of my games including l4d that i loved and hardly played anymore. Just bought a vita and along with rayman im addicted to fifa again! I think ill be rebuying games for my xbox and using the 12 month live code ive got stashed
I have the newest version and it's quieter than the PS3, saying that I've installed everything to hard drive
I loved these games, but tbf I thought the 4th game was better than the 3rd too personally. Also currently playing Skyrim, Fifa 12 and FM12 and have a free trial of Rift that I play when I can be arsed. But my favourites would be either Skies of Arcadia or Sonic 3 combined with the Sonic and Knuckles cartridge
well i can't argue with you there because i have never played to 4th game as my laptop is to slow to play it. The other games was out on playstation and playstation 2. i am currently playing FIFA and Black ops though as i don't like modern warfare.
So am i the only one to disagree with the xbox/ps3 comments? I had an xbox and had nothing but problems with it. I found the xbox to be very cheap and tacky and the noise would do my head in. Everytime i started it up, it would sound like a AC-130 on take off. Also, people commenting on the internet thing but i didnt have a computer to access the internet so i would use my ps3, which was helpful.
I think they improved the xbox Jimbo had the latest versions of both consoles, i did read though about problems with xbox360 which made me get a ps3, turned out to be a mistake.As for the next generation of consoles when they come, going to stick with my xbox360 as long as possible as it seems that they rush these things out causing the problems you hear about.
Bubble bobble on the master system , many an hour spent jumping on bubbles with the little dragon , wonder boy 3 on the master system .. o and Sensible soccer , all the gta games on ps3 . Any decent racing game as well..
I wish you could see the PL badges I made on this season's PES. Some of them look like licensed teams. As for consoles I've had a PS1, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox 360 and in fact I've still got them all now apart from the PS1 which is obsolete due to the PS2. I mainly play the 360 but I love the GameCube too, it hardly ever took off though and its hard to find games for it. I wish Nintendo would make a new one. Also the Dreamcast I recently got is awesome too.
