Everyone with girls may be better of than those with boys, the girls are winning more so get them trained up.
me, mid-fortie's, was born in the midland's, moved down to Cornwall mid-thirtie's. then few year's later moved to Cape Town, SA for business reason's pre World Cup, though a poor tournament was able to see all the games at the Greenpoint Stadium, highlight was the Germany v Argentina game, disappointment was the England v Algeria match. Fortunate to say I have been to a World Cup venue in my lifetime. A Sunderland supporter/follower for 36 years.
I'm 47 have a BA in English with History and an MA in World Literatures and I have also spent some time in an asylum. It was during my time in the looney bin that I came to realise that the whole world is in fact insane and the many benefits of irrational thought.
i used to stand outside the queen's house with a funny hat on!! (coldstream gaurd) now im a welder living in holland with a dutch wife and two amazing kids
I guess we all need to go on diets then. Okay I am 65 years old as of last week and live in Billingham. When I was at school I used to go and watch both Sunderland and Middlesborugh so I was at a game nearly every week. I left school and got a job and couldn't rely on my dad paying for my trips to the games so I had to choose which team to support as I couldn't afford both. I chose Sunderland mainly because the atmosphere at Roker Park was always better than Ayresome Park. That was 1964 and have been a regular ever since. Although I have to admit I did miss one season. I never did like Lawrie MacMenemy and when he became manager I vowed never to return to Roker until he left. Luckily for me but not SAFC he was only there for the most of one season. I have been a regular ever since and have only missed one home game at the SOL and that was when my mum died. But that game was a 0 - 0 draw and I can't even remember who we played that day. My claim to fame was that at a school prize giving day I shook Cloughie's hand but he was a Boro player then.
I feel quite dull. 47 years old and married 23 years ( to a Mag of course). 3 kids aged 7,6 and 4 ( dont ask-long story). Born and bred son of a miner in Bishop Auckland and went to SAFC first in 1974 with by Brother in Law from Seaham. I am a Chartered Surveyor and Loss Adjuster with a degree from Newcasle Poly and moved to Kent 14 years ago. Always pick a home weekend when we travel back to see family and my wife still thinks its a coincidence. Have lived a fairly normal life generally with no major mishaps touch wood. Heading North next weekend to take my kids camping near Seahouses where I spent many a happy week as a kid. By chance back in the area for the Reading game.
