    To the Pompey fans...

What's the feeling for the likely return of Chainari?

Will a Plan B side be started regardless? Because I get the impression that some fans must be tired of purely lining this guys pockets and stories for which this thread refer are embarrassing for all.

Are the Pompey faithful brave enough to abandon ship. Lose the history etc if the cancers of Chainari, Gaydamak etc still hang on the club.

Firstly, I have nothing but sympathy for the true Portsmouth fans - how close was it that we came to being in the same boat? but I have an observation!
Portsmouth shirts are emblazoned with the word JOBSITE - every time I see it my mind changes it to GOBSHITE - it really is nothing personal - it just does it!
definition: A person who talks a lot, but says nothing of relevance or interest to his or her audience, he or she usally talks for ages at a time, torturing all who can hear and takes great pleasure in doing so.
or: Noun; Someone who talks an absolute load of bollocks & has nothing meaningful to say. They just talk complete & utter ****. Someone who can't keep their mouth shut.
Maybe a reference to the past and current owners?
and not to the Portsmoth posters here!
I'd just hate to wear a shirt with GOBSHITE written on it!

Which is what has happened before and +++ respect (again!) to the Pompey fans for that.
What is beyond my understanding is according to the timescales this money was NOT being paid to charities at the same time the club was still looking to add to it's playing staff! This is just fraud surely.

Not according to Hampshire Police. Our fine local constabulary has seen absolutely nothing wrong going on at Fratton. No money laundering, no fraud, no tax evasion, no misappropriation of funds. All above board and pucka. Sleep safe in your beds tonight boys & girls, our fine boys in blue are protecting us all.

Don't start me on the police, i'm in the process of suing them. As for Pompey everything needs to be looked into, to see what has really gone on. None of this that's sweep it under the carpet bull crap.

I'm not quite sure that it is fraud - in its strictest sense. If it is then it's possible that it was the fans who were defrauded. This money is a £2 surcharge on the pay-on-the-day tickets, which is why it's quite a small amount. Chanrai introduced the surcharge (to the outrage of the fans) but when CSI took over instead of getting rid of the surcharge they kept it going but said they would give it as donations to the various charities (which appeased the fans).

It was the games covering the period when Antonov's troubles happened the donations weren't made, until then the donations were paid out. We weren't adding to the players at that time though, although Appleton had just started as Manager, there was still a transfer embargo in place.

It's still shocking though and David Lampitt allowed this to happen. The question the fans are asking is why the funds were allowed to be used for the bills and not kept separate from the main accounts.

So your saying that anything and everything that goes into the rivalry between the two clubs must now be ignored because a bunch of crooks ran Pompey into the ground and the Pompey fans no longer have a right to say anything?

Now, I'm all for ignoring the petty rivalry, and quite frankly I find people who go into that kind of thing are generally tedious and have a massive chip on their shoulders - that's within both sets of fans - but you cant, for one second, say that Pompey fans aren't allowed to be passionate about their club or aren't allowed to promote it to potential investors to hope for a better future simply because of what's happened.

Pompey fans had nothing to do with the owners screwing charities out of their money and the men who have done this have ruined the name and reputation of the club. They wont be held accountable.

And the name calling is something both sets of fans do and Southampton fans use the the term "Skate" to refer to Pompey fans. The people who do this have somehow convinced themselves this is something to do with fish, its not. Skate is in insult which refers to a drunk or a slaker, someone who wont work, or a contemptable, underhanded or dispicable person. If you take offense to the nickname Pompey fans who go into that rivarly thing give you then you must have very thin skin indeed.

All in all, you come across to me as one of those bitter lot with the big chip on their shoulder who just want to hit out at someone. And, in all honesty, your attack against the fans of Pompey, highlighted by this segment of this above post: "Perhspa the "Worlds Greatest fans (tm)" should shut up, be quiet and reflect the damage their clubs done to English football's reputation." was entirely uncalled for and out of order given the fact that the money that the charities were supposed to recieve came from the pocket Pompey fans and likely it will be the fans who dip into their pocket to pay the money that's still owed.

You are no doubt referring to our current Prime Minister (the pupil) and the previous incumbent (the complete master of talking twaddle)

I feel sorry for Portsmouth fans, especially those writing in this post. Someone has come into their club and torn it appart. No morals, no class. This is a step too far. Bang out of order.

Would Pompey fans take liquidation if it was guaranteed they could start up again and get rid of this bunch of charlatans for good????? I don't really see another way to be honest. They have bled that club dry of money and reputation. Wish their was another way as I don't want to see that happen.

I understand when you say it isn't Fraud......surely it is at the very least misappropriation of funds. Bearing in mind it was a contract to do this?

This is a very sad situation and must be very embarrassing for the club. With the actual amount being a nominal one (in club debt terms!) of around £8,400, I wonder if the playing staff would be willing to put their hands in their pockets and chip in a few quid each?
That said, I'm not sure of the legalities of such a situation. Would such an action be seen as giving preferential treatment to a creditor?

    It's a bad business

Actually it's the reverse. I have arms like a Gibbon, really spindly.

My pocket depth varies, depending entirely on the cut of my suit of the day.

Now I absolutely agree with with Meowth on this one. Frankly I have never seen so many knuckles dragging on the deck as there are around kick-off at Fratton Park.<laugh>

After this and 3rd eye's correction on the "sequence" of events it does seem more of total incompetence than anything deliberately fraudulent.

You know, like when I have to remind myself that if someones going to scam me on eBay it's unlikely to be for the 99p Saints Gnome, more likely the 5,000 pound car I'm selling.

The 8-9 thou the charities are owed of course are a lot to them but lets face it PFC have had rather larger amounts slopping around if you wanted to be a criminal type. Actually I think the "just bloody incompetent" stuff hurts more!

What I would really like to see is a friendly match between our two clubs to help pay off the charities and then some. I feel a lot of fans on both sides of the fence would pay to help in this way.

The depth of pocket along with the holes in the bottom of them, we're probably for scratching purposes only.

Well if you must know, as that's the second jibe I've endured from you, the first slight good naturedly I might add, I do actually donate an amount to UNICEF on a monthly basis.

Surely you aren't churlish enough as to now ask, how much?
