1 City have a poor record against tomorrow's visitors

Manchester City, 49 points ahead of Queens Park Rangers, would normally expect to win such a fixture at the Etihad Stadium comfortably. However, they have won only two of their past nine matches at home to QPR, all at Maine Road, having never yet hosted them at the Etihad. City have failed to win any of the past three encounters between the two sides in Manchester, losing 3-1 in the most recent fixture in March 2000 in what was then Division One. Chris Kiwomya, Gerard Wiekens (with an own-goal) and Mikkel Beck scored for QPR that day

2 United have a good record at tomorrow's hosts

United have won on six of their past eight visits to tomorrow's opponents, Sunderland, with their hosts scoring only four goals in those games. United won 1-0 there two seasons ago in what was their final away game of the season

3 City have a poor record against Hughes

The QPR manager has happy memories of his trips to the Etihad, having never lost any of his games there as a visiting manager. Indeed Mark Hughes has lost only one of the 10 matches he has managed against City, when in charge of Fulham and Blackburn, winning four and drawing five. Hughes's last match at City's stadium, in February 2011, was his first trip back there since he was sacked by the club, and he emerged with a creditable 1-1 draw, Damien Duff equalising for Fulham after Mario Balotelli's opener

4 United have a good record against O'Neill

The Sunderland manager, Martin O'Neill, lost seven and drew one of his eight games in charge of Aston Villa against United, being outscored by 21 goals to five in those matches

5 City have a poor record on the final day

City have unhappy memories of final-day dramas, having won only two of their past seven games on the closing weekends of previous seasons. This included most infamously a humiliating 8-1 defeat at Middlesbrough in May 2008, Sven-Goran Eriksson's final game as the club's manager

6 United have a good record on the final day

United have won each of their past four games on the final day of the season. When they last lost, 1-0 at home to West Ham United in 2007, they had already won the title

Putting the statistics and history to one side this curtain closer could be a brilliant day. For me the beauty of it all is that they will all be starting at the same time so it will be a result to nothing. Far andd away more competitive than chopping and changing match days to suit TV -a genuine level playing field just like the old days.

And the ref is Howard Webb. That's worth at least one penalty to Fergie.

I think City will absolutely batter QPR. Game over by half time 3 or 4 nil up.

City will absolutely smash QPR tomorrow and be crowned worthy EPL champions. They are the best team this season and deserve the title.

That said, I look forward to taking another 4 points off them again next season as well. Lol
