I'm fed up with the middle class public school educated media moralising about the behaviour of footballers.I was on the coach on the way home from London last night when they had a phone in on 5Live about Wayne Rooney swearing.A week ago the English rugby international Ben Foden was arrested and charged with criminal damage but i do not recall the media saying he should be banned in fact you will find it hard to find any media reaction.We all remember the media rection to the John Terry-Michael Bridge affair.At the time Victoria Derbyshire of 5Live moaralised on her show about Terry's behaviour.This is the same Victoria Derbyshire who had an affair with her colleague Fi Glover's husband.This incident caused Fi Glover so much upset that she left 5Live.I never remember people saying Derbyshire should be sacked.Does anyone remember Freddy Flintoff's drunken yobbish behaviour after the Ashes in 2005 ?.If he'd been a footballer he would have been hung out to dry be the media but as he's a cricketer it was passed off as high spirits.The hypocrisy of the media really annoys me and i honestly believe the media's response is politically motivated as footballers are seen as working class oiks.
