Aaron is a good home grown prospect but needs games and experience now. He will be sent out on loan this season to gain that. He would have gone out last season but for the injury to Seaborne. We have Hooivleld and Seaborne fighting for the left centre back role and I believe we will sign a Prem right sided centre back to fight with Fonte for that role.
I'm guessing (based on what I've heard) he's in our future plans most certainly, but needs a loan spell to get regular first team action say untill January - Why tie him to a long term deal otherwise?
So are you saying you have heard, he has been told he is going out on loan at the start of the season then ? Does this mean he won't be part of the 25 squad ? Wonder who else will go on loan ?
Depending on how the transfers go this summer or whether we enter the Prem Reserves or not, I'm pretty sure this will be the most likely outcome (don't quote me on this though, i could be wrong)
Dont you think that the manager and other coaches at the club know best if Hammond (or any of the other players ) is likely to cut it in the Prem, and go along with their decision making ?
Bit of trivia: Jo Tessum didn't even start playing professional football until he was 22. He ended up playing in the Premier League for several seasons.
