Didn;t we go down with something approaching the best defence in the league? I daresay if we had players like Matty Phillips, Kevin Phillips, Fegusuon and Tom Ince then we'd have been pushing for playoffs.
Yeah. Finished the season conceding the least amount of goals but still went down But over the course of the season we had people like Carl Cort, Mark De Vries and Collins John up front We was bloody awful

Stourbridge - no worries - when you get to my age it all seems like a blur ... but does bring back some painful memories - on the TV footage of the final me, my cousin and mates, were behind the goal just to the left (from camera perspective) of where that cheating little scots git, Speedie, hoodwinked the ref at Walshy's expense ... (he did however redeem himself to a degree when playing for us some years later by scoring a winning goal against Forest at Filbo 'tho)
Hope its not Blackpool. I don't think I could stand listening to Holloway saying the same crap that he came out with the last time they were in the Prem 'Everyone woz writin uz arf this year, but we are proovin them all wrong' ..........right up to the point when they get relegated again.
