<laugh> he only got two votes Terry! What a sweeping generalisation the remark highlighted is and wholly inaccurate. And I'm sure they were just on about us having no use for him due to him not being good enough. We're all well aware of Smith the person, he has been superb since joining. Great attitude and we'll always be grateful for him being part of the galvanising of troops when we went down.

I think you'd struggle to find a Newcastle fan who wouldn't welcome him into the coaching set up. But lets face it we're currently paying him 60k a week and he'd struggle to get in a PL side he's gone so far backwards as a player. You can't blame folk for thinking that is a waste of useful funds.

    Woooooow, angry United fan...
An old Nokia and a second hand car just mean he's tight as a duck's ass, which could be argued means he's extra greedy?
Just kidding, I think he's played a part behind the scenes this year, other than Ranger still being at the club I wouldn't have changed a thing from this season.

The waste of space award for Smith is more about the massive wage packet he's on, while not being good enough to play, or be willing to take a wage cut and move away. I'd have no problems at all with him signing on as a coach, but for him to willingly sit on our bench sapping wages that could easily be used for one or two BETTER players is why he literally IS a waste of space. The space and wages he's taking could be used far more effectively. That is why I selected him as biggest waste of space.

I've always said that without SMith, we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are today. We may not even have got promotion.

Most of the awards i agree with. New one best away match of the year, West Brom, we utterly destroyed them, and we could have won by even more, Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa linked up brilliantly.
