How where we gonna get shorts that match the shirt though, when half the shirt doesn't match the shirt? Disclaimer: No, I don't mean the black parts.
The club haven't ordered shorts just to be sold at the end of the season, it's stock from the kit room that hasn't been used so goes to Tiger Leisure for retail. It isn't a new practice, last season only the black keeper shirt was on sale but after the season ended the unused yellow keeper jerseys from the kit room at Millhousewoods Lane was sent to TL to get rid of them. The green keeper shirts weren't on sale this year, but what wasn't used by the players (if they send all sizes and only mediums are used, why keep hold of the rest?) is now available to buy. Some of you people have no common sense. John Eyre did say the players (generally) like the amber shorts, and he probably knows best. Two players may not like them but they don't speak for the entire squad.
Well, you won't be pleased to hear then that new amber shorts are part of the new kit, and they can be worn with either the new home or away kit.
