i dont think Ian Taylor should be publicly repeating what Rodney said.. can see it now..he scores a hat trick against Notlob.. footage of his misses against us are anaylsed..We get hit with a 10 point deduction by the masonic muppets at the FA.. he is told he cannot get in Abbey Clancy's box again and Gerry is forced to have his pigeons put down..
NO..will only accept a sunday sport link and it has to have a huge pair of....in the background....or the bus at the north pole / moon !!
You've got to love Crouch. Somewhat of a legend in W12, missed two chances against us last week and hats off to him for banging that Clancy bird. What a lucky bugger! Never forget when asked what he would be if not a footballer he replied "A Virgin!" Let's hope he can hit a hatrick on Sunday. As for Gerry, he looks like Jabba the Hut with a mullet!
That was quality. The more I look at Sunday's highlights, the more feeble Crouch's attempts at goal look. Surely he wasn't pulling his punches?...............................Was he?
I have watched them several times. I don't think he missed on purpose to be honest. Much as we would like to think he did.
He and Carroll may be fighting for a place in Ukraine. Zamora may think he has a chance as Hodgson knows him fromFulham. All added incentives for the weekend.....
Holding Zamora's family hostage and ordering him to perform on pain of death wouldn't be incentive enough to make him act more lively. He can be one lazy git sometimes.
Look at him really closely Swords. He takes(and gives) a pummeling every match. Sometimes it looks good, sometimes the effort goes unseen. Very good centre forward. Bit shy on goals unfortunately.
True enough, I'm just giving him grief. He put a real shift in against Swansea and the other home games. Looked off the pace on Sunday though. I know a lot of his work goes unnoticed. Who's a better player, him or Heskey?
Now, Zamora. But Heskey has had a bad press over the years - again puts the work in, but injury prone and goal shy. Bolton's own Kevin Davies another one of them. Only got his England chance when he was too old.
Agreed. Our own Kevin Doyle is another one of these work horses/target men although hes had a pretty sh*t season. Who are England gonna bring to the Euro's that can fulfill this role? Crouch?
**** knows, hope Roy has a plan and the team shows both spirit and common sense, because we ain't much on paper or in the flesh. Only upside is that the great Englishbfootball public has finally understood this and expectations are low. Be happy to get out of the group, but not expecting to.
You've hit the nail on the head there Stan. This whole who will it be saga has dampened expectations and may well be exactly what the English team needs: No pressure. For years now, that side has looked scared sh*t-less trying to please the fans and consequently it has scuppered performances. Capello said he was perplexed as to why they'd play so great in training but fall to pieces out on the field. With the crowd not baying for blood this time around, they might cut loose and surprise a few people.
I've got a bad feeling about this tournament in general. The fans could get treated horribly in Ukraine as well as being ripped off, lots of Western European politicos refusing to go to opening ceremony on human rights grounds, government there is really nasty. What goes through the heads of those UEFA gimps when they make these decisions?
