This appears to be the most up to date and accurate set of data about the state of the premier clubs finances. What do you think of our (and others) position. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...l-health-of-the-Premier-League-laid-bare.html
Snazzy web page that like when you sort it. interesting NUFC still have so much debt wouldn't have thought it was still that high must have been astronomical before their wheeling and dealing.
We're only in debt to Mike Ashley. The financial results released this year prove we're financially stable, one of the best in the league. Surprised we owe him that much.
Those figures match the 'you don't know how much Ashley spends' rants that Llambiarse used to go on...Initial 100m to clear all debt and two payments of 25m to keep us afloat in the Championship...Plus figures released recently show our wage bill is down by close to £20m since then!
10th for what??? The big 10th thing is the position we finished last season. With regards to debt we are 8th. With wages we are also 8th. Income we are 11th (which is what Short will be looking at).
It's amazing the difference the CL can make to your earnings. Spurs earning double what we are despite having smaller attendances and probably a smaller fan base.
Interesting reading, it seems Short has increased are income from non football related events and services. I know from my job that SNQ has been responsible for getting the concerts at the SOL which gets us decent income in the off season. I think we have smart people running the club. People who look outside the box a bit for extra revenue streams. We need to bring our wage bill down but that is still a hangover from Keane and ultimately the cost of getting back into the EPL with some stability. It shows relegation can cost you for years and years even if you do come straight back up. Based on the finances we should be aiming for a top 8 finish on the pitch next year.
I think cost of watching footie darn sarf is much higher than up here ( but of course so are wages down there..) which is probably the main reason for turnover figures ?
Could be one of the contributing reasons. Generally the north/south divide cost isn't enough to make such a substantial difference like that though. I heard they made a frigging fortune from the Champions League though which would have came in very handy.
