    You got this job because of your qualifications and the previous track
    record would flag anything up if this employer had a policy for checking
    for anything remotely dodgy - you're not a teacher etc?

    The very fact the previous employer retained you after the appeal when
    it was clearly fresh in everyone's minds suggests that you were employable
    then so why not now? The awkwardness is in your mind and how you deal
    with it and your manager. There's one thing manning up and taking it head
    on as a discussion but you're better leaving the issue well alone. The person
    you are having concerns about could even have had a say in you getting the
    actual appointment in the first place? Don't mess things up but have a clear
    sound response if you do have that conversation. I guess it could be a 'little chat' after you've settled in. Don't let it ruin the delivery of your job or you're
    hopeless to everyone including yourself.

    Just don't be so reckless again if the job is such a big deal for you!!
    Lesson learned and all that!

    Nah deffo, rise above. Act like it never happened, if she mentions it or tries to use it against you stay calm and remind her the case was already settled. Don't even be apologetic, it would be unprofessional for her to mention anything.

    Just don't worry, continue being good at your job and show her what you're all about.


    I can totally relate to your situation, I once had a disciplinary for spending half my shifts playing snake in the loos.
