    Hi everyone, I am a newbie to your board :) I’ve been watching from the touchline for several months and thought it was about time I said hello. Whilst not a bonafide Geordie myself, I am descended from good Geordie stock, my Grandmother and her ancestors having all come from Newcastle (most of the areas identified in the roughest area of Newcastle debate the other week actually <yikes>). I hope this qualifies me as a member of your board (as well as my love for our team!)! Husband is a BinDipper :rolleyes: which has resulted in many a smug smile from me this season :emoticon-0102-bigsm – and hopefully many more to come! Hope I can join in and at least make some kind of fairly interesting contribution to your board!

    Welcome Mrs Magpie, I'm a geordie but living in Bindipper land with my bindipper wife so feel your pain!

    Think i missed that "roughest areas of Newcastle debate" may have to drag through for that...

    As you'll have gathered most people here play nicely but we have our share of idiots - nothing you can't handle i'm sure. Massive weekend for the toon coming up, so good time to get involved!!

    Not around this Sunday to hear all the results come in unfortunately <grr>, absolutely gutted and having to rely on my brother to text me all the key scores at half time and then full time (he doesn't know this yet though ...!).

    Not going to be the same as having my stomach twist in knots for best part of two hours!

    My husband may be a bindipper but he does most of the cooking in our house (so that's why I can sort of overlook the bindipper issue!) so I am free from kitchen duties to talk football :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Must be the thing these days Mrs Magpie, my Husband does all the cooking when he is home, but most of my friends are in the same boat, definitely the way forward, I can cook but don't. <whistle>
