Just listened Radio Wales and the lady presenter announced " and next ,the controversy over Cardiff City Shirts'. You try saying that- and yes she made a freudian slip and said Cardiff ****ty. She was right the first time. On a serious note a bad move as money doesn't always buy success in football-look at the teams that have fallen on their faces!
Roses are red bluebirds were blue Blake & Perry are desperate Why then aren't you? They're into the red The Malaysians to thank Is it the kit ? Or just a word from the bank?
Few of things come out of this: 1: We said all along that the Malaysians were speculators in it for kudos, 'face' and potential reward. Not being racist but all are big factors in Asia. 2: Rebranding doesn't work. Sports Direct Arena ring a bell? But this goes much much further and destroys the essence of the Club. It's not a controversy over shirts and shows that speculators like this don't understand the fans or indeed the game itself. 3: The Financial Fair Play Rules will put a spanner in the works for sure but the 'investment' may restructure their massive debt, not sure. That may be allowed. 4: Glad I'm a Jack.
Yes, I heard that as well, very funny. Perhaps the beeb will now rebrand it to REDio Wales? You sleep with the devil, you pay the price.
Most on their board are 'embracing change' in order to get out of the Championship. Un ****ing believable. I can't imagine the rank and file being happy with this at all. ccfcremote actually said: "I wonder what shade of red it will be" No, I'm not making it up.
... and what happens in a couple of year's time when the Malaysians get fed up with the lack of success and pull the plug. Red stadium, red seats, red shirts and lots of read faces too I imagine! Can't believe a football club with 100 years of history is willing to sell it's soul this way. Someone needs to tell the Malaysians that it's the team on the pitch that gives them success. Come to think of it, I wonder how lucky white is in their country? Perhaps we should change to red first and beat them to it... completely bonkers!
Well who would have thought the Bluebirds would become extict! Seems the City of Cardiff, no longer has a footy team, but Kuala Lumpur has, and they are rebranding for their nation! The end of the Bluetits..................
Imagine this :- You are a supporter of Cardiff City, You have a tattoo of a Bluebird ! How pissed off would you be ?
Remember this year guys, its the year Swans went globel premier league style, played football that gained respect from everyone, secured another £90m pay day and cardiff city "bluebirds "became extinct to be replaced by new team that plays in Red and calls itself the Dragons.... 2012 the best year ever for a swans fan
I agree Norway, seems the tarts are getting all they deserve, by the way 'Agent Dobbie' is at it again! Sometimes managers know sweet FA.............
Nottingham Forrest, Bristol City; two Championship teams playing in red nestling near the bottom of the table. If red was lucky shouldnt all the red teams be at the top and all the blue teams at the bottom? lol. If red was lucky every football team in the Far East would play in red, including the ref and linesmen just t have a lucky game. Kualdiff City the new MK Dons.
so the end of the bluebirds then. im so glad i was not born there,.. and talking about tattoos...My mate has a bluebird tatooed on his arm and he is furious. I dind't half wind him up last night about it. He might follow his two sons and turn his back on cardiff now and join the jack army..I said you had better get rid of that disgusting tattoo before you can join us mate... If cardiff does lose their identity he will seriously think about it as he has been living here for the past 25 years anyway and i have took him to see the swans on numerios occasions,,,,
I guess that's why they were asking the bluebird fans to trade in their liverpool tops a few weeks ago - they probably want to replace the badge and sell them as the new kit
Blackmail seems a way of life around CCFC ..... funny , there fans seem to back the " Malaysian accountants " when it comes to the Langston debt , but the Malaysians are spending nothing really up to this point and there losing a million a month . Maybe time for someone to look into the Malaysian accounting since they took over the Bluebirds
So you think the football league should be dictating to clubs what color kit they should wear. that is completely ridiculous. It is up to clubs to decide what colors they want to wear. and for each club it's up to the owner. It's only a change of color; what's everyone getting so excited about. Doesn't the football matter?
You're right - it's the team that counts. So what's the problem with red shirts. Once the changeover is made it will all be forgotten pretty soon. Leeds changed colors and no-one goes on about that.
