He would be good around the place, even if it's to help the younger ones develop there game. Isn't Schlupp the same build/ type of player Heskey was in his teens?
Schlupp would come on no end if EH was around to help him. I´m a fan of Schlupp & I hope we get to the prem so he will stick around for awhile & put a good price tag on his end in a couple of seasons. I also hope we just get to the prem to play the big boys again
Had Heskey and Nugent played up front all season last year then i reckon Nugent would of got 20-25 goals
Once more - Nobby Solano - let's face it, he was still class and stood out AT FULL BACK!!! I think NP will give it some serious consideration because big Emile will give him an alternative .. and we sadly lacked any plan B last season - let's for one minute consider a possible next season line-up based on speculation etc .. and of course my own 'dream team' preference Schmeichel Kennedy Morgan Chester Peltier Whittingham Danns Bamba (in a holding / ball winning role) Marshall Heskey Vardy Subs: King, Drinkwater, Dyer, Nugent, Vassell, Schlupp, Waghorn, St ledger, Konchesky, Hopper, Paniyatou For me, that's a 'squad' that would compete for promotion
his defending needs some work - but the coaching staff should be able to help with that - he is effective going forward and has often been our most potent ariel threat at set pieces ... he's still very young - so I'm hoping he will come on.
He started the season well defensively but he is a liability at the back in recent months and going forward he doesnt attack enough. He cuts inside too often and plays safe. I want to see him get the ball and try and take his man on. I dont think he is good enough to be first choice. He is plays like a centre half at right back at times
