South, East and West stand sold out and the rest near sold out for next weekend. What will the team be, should give us some clues to next season and the big question, will we turn up. Surely we must.
Dont be so modest Syd, you seem to be a recent expert in picking the team? Maybe Martin should read your posts more and then we wouldnt be so poor on the pitch?
My Utd son in Scarborough tells me that Utd have only been allocated 1700 tickets for the usual "safety reasons". Fans standing prior game caused it. After City result he will probably pass.
Not there as I'm away but, got a feeling there'll be Man Utd fans all over the ground. Remember the North Stand a few years ago there was a whole row of seats full of Man Utd fans who were ejected not long after kick off. These were not the idiot element either from what I saw anyway but, seemed like ordinary fans who just wanted to watch their team.
We will maintain our normal civilized decorum in the library,(east stand), and any United interlopers will be met with a stern,"I say old boy, play the game now and move on please", "Bloody immigrants".
To but tickets for this game you have to be able to provide a history of prior ticket purchases, so I can't see there been a great deal of Man U fans who can do that!
Syd, By and large I think the team does turn up, but, on a point that I believe you and I agree on, we lack strikers with the talent/ability when in the box and a chance presents itself to find the back of the net. Against Bolton, we scored two good goals but it could have been more if a player had used their instinct and put is foot through the ball first time towards the goal. Yesterday Bentdner and Campbell had chances (Ji was ineffective) but failed to convert..thank heavens for McBardo. Now whether MoN regrets sticking to his plan in of not panic buying a striker last January who knows, but as goals from midfield have dried up, so have our wins. We are and have been for a while safe from relegation so the main reason why SB was sacked and MoN brought in has been successful. Stage two has to be to provide some goals, as I and many others have said before, at least two are required and for decent ones that could break the bank, yes we could improve elsewhere as well but for me Strikers are the priority! If proof was needed yesterday's poor performance by the present trio that were on display is ample evidence.
If a Manure fan was to offer me £500 for my seat I wonder if I would be tempted? Would pay for the season ticket next year?
It's like that film, "Indecent Proposal" Just how much would you sell your ticket for? Personally, 200 quid might do it for me
If there's any United fans reading, I have a smashing not in use North Stand season ticket, PM me your bids!
