Nice to hear them being so nice, I was worried today that some would try and spoil our lack of appreciation if they won, but sounds like they didn't.

The fact is i a way were very similar to City in terms of having a big fan base thats been through the thick of it and hadn't won anything for ages. I think thats why we respect each other.

So all we need is an oil rich arab

cant stand man city fans, as one comment says "where were they when they were ****" and we are right.

a few seasons back we went there lost 2-0 and the stadium was half empty, fast forward a bit a rich guy comes in offeres players £500,000 a week and bang city fans turn up left right and centre, their stadium fills up every week now since they are winning games and look set to win the league...

the funny thing was city players were out shaking fans hands and autographs, toure and silva were next to a friend of mine and he said to them "did you know man city existed untill they tried to sign you" toure laughed and said "not really no" and silva just looked confused..

for me personally i find it embarrassing the way they are going about it, trying to be better and bigger then man u, which we all know we never happen.

    Which part of it?

Do you think that Toure and Silva signed because of Man City's rich history and their place as one of European football's greats or because you're paying them an inordinate wage? The lad's right, you were a nothing club on the slide pre take over and now you've bought success,

To be fait City fans stuck with their team through some pretty ****ty situations. I remember when Man United rubbed our faces in it with the cheer up KK song for years so it's all ****ing wonderful if you ask me.

To slag city's incredibly loyal support off is just a disgrace and all you do is come across as bitter.Youve never played city at a half empty ground. Can you can honestly tell me that in the same situation you would have turned down the Arab owners? If you shared a city with one of the the most successful teams in Europe your attitude might be different.Where were we when we were ****e? Right feckin here pal

Not everyone will have been but not everyone is saying it here anyway. Just enjoy this because it's just the beginning. I think Man City will dominate wolrld football until you die so clubs like us will no doubt never win **** all.

We were filling out our stadium, watching the team we love go through it's lowest point in our history.

They signed because we offered them huge wages, coupled with an ambition for the club to win things.

Funny how the biggest clubs in the world pay the highest wages. There's a reason for that.

you give me the option to either have a rich owner and have players like silva, aguero, toure, playing in the team, spending millions on wages and players just to try and be bigger and better then their neighbours, or have a owner who infairness hasnt been great with some of his decisions, players like krul, colo, jonas,ba in the team....

i know which i would rather have, newcastle have been in man citys shoes, spending millions of signings owen, luque etc giving the likes of dyer, owen, bellamy, lugue huge amounts off money on wages.... fair enough it hasnt been players like silva, aguero but its basically the same, we ****ed up big time as players were getting annoyed when be subbed a bit lyk dzeko and balloteil, lee bowyer and dyer fighting on the pitch, a few weeks back at arsenal kompany was shouting baloteil when he got sent off "your an idiot shut up and get off the pitch"

then you have tevez who took a strop and played golf for 3-4 months.. which in my opinion shows how poor of a manager mancini is saying he will never play again, and he lets him play still

well you obviously didnt follow football in 2004-2008

when newcastle paid £17M for owen,£11M for luque, £8M for duff,£12M for martins , £10M for woodgate, £10M for boumsong, £8M for parker etc....

and at the time were regarded as some of europes top players,

Yes but we didn't actually have the money. City have **** loads of millions. They must have spend 300 million by now??? have you see the plans for around the Etihad? they are going to be in another universe than all other clubs soon.

To say City bought the title is ridiculous. Everyone does it. No investment = no success. Credit to the fans who stuck through the dark days, kept cheering their team on, and never gave up hope. Problem is the new plastic fans tend to drown out their real fans.
